2025 Ram 1500 RHO passenger side display DEMO and functionality with HDMI cable

It is screen mirror not CarPlay which would only have allowed approved CarPlay apps. Screen mirror will allow you to play Netflix games etc

Question for people that have theirs already. If you hook up a firestick for example to the passenger screen do you just use your phone hot spot? Verizon limits/slows down if you use too much hot spot in a month. Does the RHO have its own hot spot? If so is it free trial then pay or how does that work?

It has wifi sub for $10 per month. Gonna set it up this week and see how it does. I live in an area of bad reception and android auto in truck sucks down data like nothing I've seen before. The $10 should save me $60 in overages :ROFLMAO:

@Ctech-Review Barry, solid video. My wife swore it was useless without a connection and I can't see it from my angle so this was illuminating.

I plan on building a raspberry pi and mounting that somewhere for a little retro gaming action.

Using hdmi cable my s24 ultra won't work, gives me resolution error. I'll try lowering the screen resolution and try again

Can you link the HDMI cable you used? So many I’ve looked at on Amazon say they aren’t compatible for watching YouTube or Netflix. Weird.
yup for sure its in description of video posted!

Thanks, but have you tried Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, etc. with your cord? That seems to be the issue with all of them I see on Amazon. They wont support HDCP protected apps like those. YouTube doesn't use that, so it's not an issue watching videos from that app.

I haven't tried anything other than YouTube so far but I picked up a Cable Matters USB C to HDMI 2.1 that supports 4k@ 240fps and supposedly 8K @ 60fps and HDR for like $23 on Amazon Prime and it works pretty well. My son wants to try connecting his Switch to it to see if that works. I'll try it over the weekend and report back

Cable Matters 6' USB C to HDMI 2.1

Much appreciated! YouTube is great, but the girlfriend loves Netflix and Hulu, and I enjoy peace and quiet while I'm driving. :ROFLMAO:

Yeah my wife is always the passenger princess too. She normally uses the cover on her iPad mini to "secure" it to the visor to watch Hulu so we'll try this out. I'm still on an iPhone 14 Pro Max and didn't want to buy a Lightning to HDMI since everyone else in my house is USB C
