2027 Ram RHO rumors

Wondering when we should start to hear rumors about any changes coming to the 2027 RHOs. My intent is to factory order but wanted to see if they might be getting rid of that stupid auto start/stop and passenger screen. If they're not I will probably just order a 2026. Thanks for any info.
 
I haven't heard a peep about changes to the RHO. All the focus seems to be on the SRT TRX, which is understandable. From what I've seen on that, the passenger screen is likely going to be deleted. I can't say I've heard anyone say anything positive about it, so it would be a good thing if it went away across all trims. But I'm just postulating, really.

Oh no! That’s the whole reason I bought my RHO…damn!

I’ve only used the passenger screen twice…and it was simply to show people that it had a passenger screen…however if we didn’t have young kiddos with us on road trips my wife would probably use it to watch Netflix.
 
Professional answer - Nobody knows til the code guide drops.

Personal answer - I don't think we'll see much change at all, remember this is only YEAR 2! Maybe the drop of pass screen. We're a LONG way off from the start/stop getting removed, in my opinion. While the truck enthusiasts (us, here) may want to see it happen, the impact on advertised mpg means that they'll have to compare to other OEMs. If they all drop it, it'll work. But the non-enthusiast SUV driver looks at MPG on monroney stickers. Change costs money, even if the change is a less expensive product, too.
 
No passenger screen would be a nice upgrade!

What I’d really love to see, but also won’t happen, is to drop the $10k L1 package and let some of the things be ala carte. I got it primarily to have a sunroof. $10k is a pretty significant chunk of change for some features buyers don’t want or need for.

Oh, and let’s just speculate that the 2027 gets an upgraded exhaust note or active exhaust valving. That would be cool!

And just for grins, I’m going to wager they come out with a Mopar tuner.

Any idea when we’ll have more solid code guide for 2027?

2025 RHO was late April
2026 RHO was mid-May

I think a while back I looked and 9 our of ten release dates for 1500s were between April-June
 
Soooo has anyone tried to remove the screen?

If RAM gets rid of the RHOs to push the TRXs would that destroy the RHOs value?

No one wants to buy the BMW XM because is a three year vehicle getting discontinued in 2028. They intended it to be a platform for data collection to design their new us market M3 touring in 2028. I hope they do not do us like that.
 
I don't think the RHO will go anywhere. They have to have a performance truck other than the TRX at a price-point to compete with the regular Raptors. Ford has both versions - why shouldn't RAM?

I hope they look at it like Ford does with the Raptor and the Raptor R, it would be very similar situation. But I dont know if there is enough market for that or not. RHO would be the competition for the Raptor and the TRX competition for the Raptor R.

That being said I think Ram needs to bring back the full size SUV "Ramcharger". To compete with the Expedition and Tahoe. The Durango, is more of an Explorer size, and there is nothing offroad about any of the trims of the Durango, I think the plan is to bring it back in the next couple years, just not sure if they will make it offroad style like the RHO.

I think a Raptor / RHO level full size SUV Ramcharger would be pretty awesome. Ford has the Tremor, but I would like to see a higher offroad level in it.
Then there is Chevy/GMC that still hasnt really gotten into this level of market. I would call what Chevy has done more on the Tremor line rather than the Raptor/RHO/TRX level.

IMO the RHO isn’t going anywhere for a long time time. Only way I see it being discontinued earlier is if the HO Hurricane becomes a disaster of a powertrain, but I don’t see that happening either with how robust these were built.

Same with the Tundra TRD Pro. Doesn’t compare to the Raptor, RHO, TRX, or raptor R. However Toyota is supposedly releasing a Tundra TRD Hammer Baja style truck to compete with these. “Turd Hammer” has a nice ring to it.
