$35 for the caps on the valve stems?

Ram service lost one of the caps that go on my valve stems. I notified the service advisor & he mailed replacement caps. What I received were generic plastic caps that don’t completely cover the bright copper colored metal.

So, I go to Mopar.com to order a replacement. Only sold in packs of 5, for $35!! Really? It’s plastic.

So get some nice aftermarket ones or generic ones off Amazon. It's not like it's some kind of proprietary threading on the valve stems or anything.

What’s even more disturbing is thats after the generous $12 discount. If thats the going rate i’m stealing valve stem caps off anyone who has their car parked outside in my neighborhood tonight

Yeah…I tried that route. If they cared, I would reach out again. But, they don’t. To them, I’m just another dumbass who expects more than they are willing to deliver.

Those actually look long enough to cover the whole copper threaded portion of the valve stems. I’m gonna try them!

Update: Looked at the OEM valve stems. The bottom 1/4 of the copper stem is non-threaded, so the cap needs to have a non-threaded “hood” to cover that portion. The Amazon caps are threaded all the way to the opening, so they won’t cover properly.
