Ordered the truck last year from mark dodge and that whole process was great, however once the truck arrived the issues began.

The vehicle was picked up in late January and during the drive home I noticed the alignment was off and pulled decently to the right. No big deal right? An alignment should fix the problem - wrong. The issue still hasn’t been resolved and no answer on when it will be, so my tires are just going to wear unevenly and wear out early as well as having to correct the steering angle the entire time you drive it.

A misfire event occurred and went away on it’s own after restarting the vehicle, not sure what to make of this but vehicle went into limp mode during that time frame until it was restarted. CEL went away after vehicle was restarted as well.

Truck decided it didn’t want to start up- CEL was present, towed to dealer - both batteries were replaced.

Not even a week after battery replacement CEL reappeared and this time it was one of the HVAC wires had rubbed on the frame (thanks for designing and installing a wiring harness that’s too short stelantis) the wire was splice repaired - hopefully this lasts…..

Just this week the truck had a light popup for “service shifter” truck still worked like normal but shifter lights didn’t work. Once vehicle was started next day the light was gone.

Now a need CEL has appeared, who knows what the issue is this time.

This vehicle has been an honest headache. Never had a vehicle with more problems than this, can’t go a month without driving it and no CEL. I called “ram cares” to air my concerns and essentially was told to kick rocks. This will likely be my last RAM or stellantis vehicle due to the customer service. If you’re looking to purchase one of these consider you may be one of the “unlucky” ones with a variety of issues. At least you can get a back massage while waiting for the tow truck.

Damn man I’m sorry to hear about your issues. Stellantis makes it hard for people to look up to Ram with their customer service but I guess it just depends on who’s on the other line at the time of your call. I’ve had a great experience with Ram Cares before on my very first 2019 Laramie that had a bunch of issues. They were fast and remedied it quick, even though the truck still had its issues thereafter but since it was a lease, I let it ride with the issues until the lease was up.

Hopefully you truck gets its issues fixed so you can enjoy it.

The generic front line people that answer the phone for “Ram cares” are terrible. They don’t have the tools they need to even try to help. Plus, I’m sure they are just swamped non stop and are too numb to it at this point to care.

Until you get a retention manager on the phone you’ll get nowhere.

How do I get this moved up to a retention manager?

I called and emailed my case manager every day. The header of each email always says “2nd attempt, 3rd attempt” etc… when I left messages I asked for a supervisor. When I finally got one, o asked for a retention manager. That took about 20 ish days I think. Ultimately my truck was in the shop for a little over 30 days.

Did the retention manager offer any loss of use. I have sent two requests to my case manager that have gone answered. My truck was down for 50 days.

Ya. I ended up with an extra extended warranty. The compensation is on going due to my truck not technically being completely
Fixed. I still have a 98mph speed limit, rather than the 118 it’s supposed to be.

I’m so sorry for everyone who has had issues!! I hope everyone’s issues get resolved so y’all can enjoy your trucks!! I know how problems and poor customer service can sour you on a brand. I hope it doesn’t end that way for you all.

FYI, I delt with problems and poor customer service with Mercedes years ago on a new 2006 ML350. They wouldn’t fix a problem, I escalated to corporate and the regional VP to no satisfaction. Well, that was my last MB, I’ve owned 10 new cars since then between my wife and I. They could make the best cars in the world that would never break and I will never own one again. All because of how I was treated and they handled the situation. I get it. Chin up and fingers crossed!

Quick update, haven’t seen service shift issues since this post, dealer found no issue with that. However on the check engine light the dealer stated they are going to start with the fuel injector wiring harness, it’s on back order… if this issue is not resolved within 30 days ram then I’ll be seeking my options out legally. I have a feeling this vehicle is going to be a constant headache at this point. I love this truck when it runs right but the constant headache makes me wish I had bought a 2006 camry to drive because at least it would be reliable 😂 I will very likely see what happens and call the Ram doesn’t care hotline and escalate the case.

All I’m asking is they cover the downtime and extend my warranty for peace of mind not asking them to cut me a $25,000 check or being unreasonable. No chance I’m keeping this thing out of warranty at this rate. Seriously considering cutting my losses either way but what will I replace it with? Seriously nothing that interests me other than maybe a g80 M3 but the RHO has much more appeal to me (when it’s not in the shop🤦‍♂️).

Thanks for everyone sharing their stories and helping me out with advice. I will update this thread once the issue is resolved and what ultimately ends up happening… maybe this will help someone in the future.

It is surprising that there are still this many issues. Does anyone follow other Ram boards (non-RHO boards - I guess 6th gen Ram)? In theory, all of the 2025 Rams have the same electrical architecture and even engine (in the Limited and up trims) as the RHO. It seems like if the RHOs are having these issues, then the other 2025s would as well. Other than the suspension/chassis, there is nothing unique to the RHO vs. the other 2025s to my knowledge.

Yea I was just looking for loss of use since it was down for 50 days. I have written to my case manager twice since and no response. Very frustrating.

My dealership said they have seen a ton of 25 1500’s with issues coming in when I last spoke with them

Quick update got an ETA on the part July 7th for fuel injector harness… going to reach out to “ram cares” (we all know they won’t) out of curiosity those who have been beyond the 30 days of downtime for one issue have you reached out to lemon law attorneys before this time frame and discussed options? I’m fully expecting ram to take good care of me or I’ll proceed with lemon law and they can have fun selling a branded title 90k truck🤷‍♂️ also if they force my hand this direction I’ll be done with the brand as a whole. Anyone who ram has taken care of due to this sort of issue what all was offered to remedy the situation? I’ll definitely be looking at an extended warranty and a check or lemon law no in between.

Warranty, trade assist into another RHO or something else in the line up, they should pay for ur rental and ur payments also possibly

If I were in your shoes I would demand extended warranty, loan payments and rent coverage at a minimum. What I would probably lean towards is request a 2026 RHO at no charge. Given your scenario, I would approach a lawyer soon. I would want the legal route lined up in the event RAM doesn’t want to take responsibility.
