Dealer did an awesome job putting on the mopar power running boards but, while there the tech noticed my drive shaft leaking. He said I need a new front driveshaft! 900 miles, no level or lift kit. Luckily it is drivable for now because the part is on backorder. I am not mechanically savvy by any means... so, the question is. Could I end up broken down on the side of the road while I wait for the new driveshaft?

Depends on the severity of the leak I'd imagine

Do you mean a new CV axle shaft? Or the entire drive shaft? My CV was leaking at like 100 miles. Seems common unfortunately

CV axle shaft. But they told me I’m getting an all new drive shaft??

Sounds like they are referring to the axle shaft. Easy repair, but still sucks.

This is what they have listed as the issue

CV Drive Axle Boots or Driveshafts & U-joints

With no mods I'd hope this is warrantied!

same, had my drive side cv axle replaced at a little over 1000 miles. I think it was legit torn since the day I purchased it and never realized it until weather got a bit better.
