Well, picked up my truck on Friday from having the shift control module replaced as well as both axles. Came out to the truck this morning, no start and lights everywhere.Shut it down and the wipers started to go...waiting on the tow truck to tow it back to the dealer. Truck is two weeks old with 533 miles. Good times!

I would really get you a battery charger (NOCO Genius 5 as an example) and get a full charge on those batteries.

Charge it overnight on the main battery and it will also charge the Aux battery

This before anything else

Mine did this today as well. Wouldn't even jump start. Towed to the dealer this AM and i've heard nothing...

The first attempt at a jump start this morning, it started then died about 10 seconds in. Second attempt worked but RPM and voltage was all over the place

Yep mine started then sputtered and died; subsequent jumps did nothing.

Curious what service comes back with as the culprit

While I have the utmost sympathy for you guys, all I have to say is I hope they figured this shit out for the 2026 model year that I'm going to receive lol. I don't want to deal with any of these headaches.

Just inquiring, has anyone just bought some quality aftermarket batteries, charged them up and kept them on stand by. Then if truck won't start or does the electronic gremlin dance just swapped batteries to see if it fixes it or atleast gets it to start and run.

I feel that would be much easier and less frustrating than having to tow. I understand this shouldn't even be a thing to begin with. The trucks are new, they are under warranty, etc. But with the known issues, I feel like it would a decent option so one isn't left stranded without a vehicle and able to drive into dealer if needed.

Again I know this is frustrating and you shouldn't have to replace or buy "backup" batteries for a brand new truck. But just curious if anyone has done this? And did it fix the issues and/or did your truck at least start and run?

This ... I asked the same question and was met with "I'M NOT BUYING NEW BATTERIES FOR A BRAND NEW 80K TRUCK!!!"

I get it but if a few hundred bucks resolves the problems it's well worth knowing lol Maybe the factory had a bad batch of batteries and all the electric gremlins are due to that. Hell i'm sure the forum wouldn't even mind donating to the user that figures it out and paying for their batteries lol i'll chip in, no problemo.

I bought new Duralast batteries(both) at 400 miles because my truck was completely dead, I'm at 13,000 now and haven't had an issue since. There is absolutely no reason you have to buy mopar batteries.

Same could be said by Chevy guys who buy a 70K truck and won’t buy a $500 upgraded valve body that will save their transmission. Sure it’s under warranty but who the hell wants to be stranded on the side of the road miles away from home?

It would be very sad if they didn't, and surprised they would continue to build trucks without resolving the issue. I definitely would shy away from Ram after 20+ years of owning them.

Test came back as a main battery fail. They replaced the battery and called it a day.
