Alternatives for a bed step

So I didnt get the package with a bed step or an AC bed plug, does anyone have any alternatives for a bed step? I have heard people having issues with the MOPAR one.

I love the mopar bed step except for the one time it decided to retract when I was on it and bout snapped my leg in half. Cautious every time I use it now.

Mine is hard as hell have to use my hands to retract it back up so hopefully that's a good sign

That’s what’s wild is mine is hard to retract too I have to kick it back up. But that one time scared the shit out of me. I had it all the way down to when I was on it.

Same. Basically *edit* (belly) roll onto the tailgate from the step now out of pure fear

I took the old amp research one I had put on my 2022 Laramie and put on the RHO. Doesn’t line up perfectly but doesn’t look bad either
