Oh man, I thought I could download it on my Android phone. So, it must be added by the manufacturer. Oh well.

This means you cannot add it to vehicle equipment that never had Android Automotive in the first place.

Android Automotive is built into the RHO factory head unit; therefore, we SHOULD be able to update it.

Yes my first thought was I wonder how much monthly they will try to collect.

I did much deeper research on this.

SHORT ANSWER:

This is will not work for our RHOs.


LONGER ANSWER:

To use this feature, vehicles need to have Google's, Android Automotive Operating System (AAOS) installed from the factory. Our trucks have the UCONNECT Operating System.

That's a bummer, it's a great idea. Hopefully UCONNECT is building something similar.
