Does anyone know if there’s a way to adjust the tailgate spacing? I have a large gap on the left, and non-existent gap on the right side. So far it doesn’t look like there is contact, but it’s paper thin and I’d hate to wear through paint if I jostle it with bumps while driving.

There is a thread on this from months back. I’ll see if I can find it. It’s a simple bolt to loosen, then slide tailgate to desired position, retighten bolt.

Thanks. I just tried the black bolt on the right side, but the tailgate didn’t budge after loosening it. Maybe it need to be in a different position or something.

Not sure if same issue, but could be the cause.

Thanks, I did find that one, but my rubber stops are where they should be. This tailgate on our 2025s has a security bolt on the right side hinge which my 2020 didn’t have. That’s a positive change to avoid theft, but also makes the design a bit different.

I’ll go back out and fiddle with it.

Thank you. I unhinged the tailgate on the passenger side, but having my son on the drivers side wasn’t confidence inspiring… so I’m going to wait until I have another adult to grab hold of the tailgate before I go any further.

I pushed on the tailgate as hard as I was able and couldn’t get it to budge left, so I wonder if there’s a spacer in there, or something. Doesn’t want to move to the left.

How the hell does a truck make it off the factory floor like this? II understand it's not a hand built Ferrai but come on. You could probably see that panel gap from the other side of the building. Makes you wonder what else makes it through final inspection.

It is not easy to break free the first time. I pushed while hitting the hinge bracket bolts on the tailgate with a rubber mallet. There must be some paint that is locking it in. Was a bit of a pain but I can sleep again with my OCD in check lol
