To me, these are "nice to haves". CarPlay has me covered for navigation but I have started playing with the dash map display and I like it. Do I like it to the tune of $15 a month? No. Same with the remote start.
I have seen the posts were folks have either called or used the chat to grab a better deal with XM. Has anyone done the same with the Ram Connect services like nav or assistance?

I didn't call anyone to try to get a deal, but when I went in on the website and signed up after the trial, they gave me an additional two months free. Not sure if that offer is still available.

I agree that the features like remote start should be free (nav actually I think makes sense as a subscription), but I am not gonna notice $15/month and I am gonna notice if I ever want to use some of the remote controls and can't.

Car Play relies on cell service so driving through Death Valley with no service on my way to China Lake is no bueno. Plus, paying yearly for these subscriptions makes me forget about the monthly.

I'm sure Apple has a similar function, but on Google Maps you can download areas offline so that it'll work as long as you have GPS to the phone and Bluetooth connection to the car. It'll even prompt you to do this if you set a route that goes through a known deadspot. Just food for thought in case you hadn't seen this before.
