I have heard some people saying this truck doesn't have auto hold - my fully optioned rho is ordered I have not gotten to drive one yet. Does this thing really not have auto brake hold????? every vehicle i have had last 5 years has it and It's something I use all the time so hoping it's there!

It doesn't. It has the hill hold thing, but no auto hold at every stop. It's taken some getting used to from my raptor... especially at boat ramps

No, and I'm glad it doesn't. Sounds like a feature that introduces complacency and impedes traffic flow

.... yes. We are all hoping tazer can unlock the truck and add it like they have with the trx
I heard it's a hack job tho. Like you have to hold brakes for x amount of seconds and then it blinks dash lights and chimes.

I still cannot understand why anyone would want this feature. But I hope you guys figure it out so you can have it.

Rush hour, city driving with tons of lights, and I don't have ankles ( motorcycle accident) so it's super nice to be able to come to stop, take my foot off break and have it ready next to the gas. Light turns green traffic starts moving and you just tap the gas and go. Amazing on long drives also on trails / hills.

I mean fair play if you don't have ankles. Not gonna argue that one.

I mean... yeah that's a pretty good reason to have it and I can imagine it would be helpful.

However, when a light turns green and there's a car in front of me, I'm easing off the brake inching forward (no gas). If the person in front of me isn't doing the same because they are waiting to hit the gas, and I have to reapply pressure to the brake because I'm getting to close to their bumper, then 90% chance I'm honking.

I’m going to miss it from the Raptor. Amazing feature. This truck should have it and then those that don’t want it could just turn it off.

No. You just come to a stop and press the pedal down fully. Picture your “slowing down and stopping” pedal force - it’s just a bit firmer. That’s it. It turns on, and chimes with dash lights. To release, just start pressing the gas.
I’ve had it on my truck for a couple of years now. The only time it’s annoying or a problem is if I accidentally engage it while waiting in line at a gas pump, while parking, or anywhere else that you don’t want to take off normally. Because to disengage it, you have to press the gas and it breaks loose and lurches forward ever so slightly. Picture being 6 inches from a wheel stop and accidentally turning it on. Now you have to be real careful if you want to pull forward the last 6 inches without ramming the wheel stop.

Sounds like a solution looking for a problem

Sometimes you have to stop at a light and reach way back in the backseat - far enough that your foot needs to come off the brake for a second.
Children just need a beating sometimes, you know.

Just shift it into park and deliver a longer beating!! :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

can you disable the chime ? I wish you didn't haft to press harder it just activated like any other car. Unreal this thing has had a free driving but no auto hold.

No, the chime can’t be disabled. Tazer uses some kind of override (activates ABS, I think), so you have to live with the chime and dash lights.
Pressing the brake pedal a little harder really isn’t a big deal. I actually prefer it to an automatic brake hold, because I can decide when I want it to engage.
