Took the RHO in today for a paint correction. Dealership gave me a bighorn for the loaner. First impressions are good.

The sticker came out to $65k with cloth seats and 12” uconnect. Well optioned bighorn as I see it with the full sunroof and remote start. Seats are decent. Adjustable peddles, telescoping wheel, easy to get comfortable. I really like the large module center console. Took me a minute to adjust to the rotary dial shifter again. They did make it smoother than the previous gen.

The handling is quite different from the RHO. Steering is aggressively light. I mean one finger spin around light. Body roll is not bad but more perceptible. In and out of traffic made the drive feel easier vs RHO. Just a smooth cruise. Smaller bumps felt good but when it got rough the RHO trumps.

The new sst in low output form is plenty strong. Feels touchy on light input and pulls hard after a delay. But not close to the HO. The RHO hits harder. The hemi is a lot more linear.

I like it. Easy to drive and quiet. But man do I miss my RHO. Nicer inside. Driving the RHO is a visceral thing. Bighorn would make a solid option is discounted correctly. It does make the non level 1 RHO feel like a hell of a deal at msrp.

Context, coming from a guy who dallied a 1500 ram express regular cab.
