Okay so my passages side blind spot light is randomly blinking and staying lit while it’s raining. Any one else have this issue?

Back road. One lane. Not a car in sight. Can’t attach the video but it stays light or blinks on and off like a turn signal.

Edit: this occurred on ride home after getting mopar power steps installed if that matters.

I've had random blinking on passenger mirror during some trips in the rain as well, but not all rain trips. No power steps here.

I've also had this happen. No power steps. I was thinking the sensors may be WAY too sensitive but after about 3-5 minutes of driving they seem to calm down.

Yes, happens all the time to me when it is raining out. It actually happened this morning on my drive to work. If it is raining and I drive by a mailbox the light pops on and off.

You know, I wonder if RAM did any real-world testing with these trucks at all. Is there anyway to find out what RAM actually did to validate the trucks are functional and safe to drive? I am shocked that the safety features don't really work well or reliably...but they are safety features. I would think there would be some stringent rules around things like this but I guess not.

I would recommend just turning the sensors/warnings off. They don't work well and, to me, seem like more of a distraction or could be more likely to cause an accident because of how poorly the system seems to work (at least when raining).

It's the same thing the pharmaceutical companies do. It's more profitable to sell sell sell and play the litigation lottery than it is to worry about risks up front.

Yea, i agree. My only issue is the technology is not new. It has been around for a while now. how the fuck did they screw things up so badly?

It's been a Stellantis issue with these for a while. My girlfriend's Grand Cherokee also has completely non functional monitoring systems in any type of weather. You know, when you might actually need them.

I was thinking about making a post about this the other day also! I've noticed that my Blind Spot indicators tend to be overly sensitive when it's raining, foggy, and back in the winter, if there was a lot of snow on the ground and ambient light from the snow.

I drive down a narrow tree lined street on my way to work, and when it's snowy or rainy, each tree seems to light up the orange triangle. Or if my turn signal is on, it'll squak at me and read a telephone pole beside me as a threat in the blind spot.
