So just about every time I drive now my blind spot monitoring doesn't work. It told me to wipe off the rear sensors... Took a baby wipe to the 4 sensors on the rear bumper. Didn't seem to help.

Pretty minor inconvenience imo but does anyone have any insight as to what could be wrong?
Really hoping I don't need to take my truck to the dealer for this.

Had this problem as well, mine was a bad sensor, swapped it out and all is well.

One of the many modules replaced on my truck.

Had a similar issue a while back ago

Hi there, @Bananarocket!

If you elect to visit a dealership to have this completed, then let us know via private message! We're here as an additional layer of assistance.

My truck has been in the shop no less than 4x for this issue. I just got it back last week, issues started again today 🙃

My 2025 11k miles is currently having same problem. For me 2nd time in last 2 months. Dealer fixed it, said it was software issue. Now that so many replied here saying it was a bad sensor im going to request/suggest it.

Mines back in the shop as we speak...there since Monday. I keep getting "BLIND SPOT MONITORING UNAVAILABLE" and "AUTO EMERGENCY BRAKING (AEB) LIMITED FUNCIONALITY" errors along w/ the chime and triangles illuminating on the sideview mirrors. 34 times the error/chime came up in a 20 minute drive before it finally just stayed off...talk about annoying! So far I haven't heard anything from the dealer on what's causing the issue.

I had this issue once on my 2025 and turned it on and off a few times and it still would not clear. Finally I popped the fuse box and pushed down on all my fuses since quite a few of them were not seated properly from the factory and after that it has never happened again.

Yup. I did this upon vehicle delivery and caught a few not seated properly

On my 2019 Laramie it would happen but it would be something to set it off like going over or under a bridge. I would go into settings and toggle it off and back on and that would fix it. On the RHO this didn’t work and I found that it was my aux battery going bad. These vehicles nowadays do weird things with bad batteries. Since changing out the aux battery it hasn’t happened again. Cheap and easy fix if you have a multimeter is test your batteries, if they test fine while the vehicle is off and on make sure to test it while starting. If voltage drops below 10 volts while starting your battery is going bad.

Did the same thing when I took delivery, found a few that I was able to seat all the way. Unfortunately my problems still surfaced.

Dealership swapped out the AUX battery about 2 weeks ago thinking that was the issue, said it was good to go. 5 mins after leaving the dealership it all started again...

I would still test the batteries myself for peace of mind. Multimeters are cheap and useful to have around and it only takes a few minutes to do. It could possibly be the main battery also.

My issues starts off as blind spot detection, then spirals into emergency breaking needs serviced, then check engine light. Dead battery etc. dealership has tested the batteries (said they were good), they checked whatever behind the backseat that’s been known to fail, claimed to have went through the truck and made sure all connections were good but no talk of replacing the module I’ve seen owners reporting as the issue. Idk, this will be the 5th time it’s been in the dealership over this one issue. It’s been in for several other issues 🫠. Pretty sure the exhaust valve springs are broke, chilly mournings it sounds like it has a bad knock. I tracked it down to the exhaust, springs look broke and rattles like crazy. Also, the passenger window doesn’t like to roll up..I did do 0-60 in 4.4 tho so…I got that going for me 🤣

There’s a million things that could be wrong as these modern vehicles are more like computers nowadays than get under the hood and fix it yourself. I don’t care what the dealership told you about your batteries, get a multimeter, look at a few YouTube videos and test these batteries yourself. This has been screamed from the rooftops on multiple forums and social media and I admit that I dismissed it until it happened to me. It’s cheap peace of mind to know for sure it’s not a battery problem. Make sure to test them while off, while on and most importantly while starting. These vehicles do really weird things when the batteries are going bad and it isn’t just Ram.
