Bad idea wrapped inside a panic attack nightmare. They also are horrible and scratch the hell out of clearcoat.Has anyone run their RHO or TRX through an automatic car wash?
Touchless technically don't/can't, but they get the vehicle negligibly clean and a lot of people do the scratching bit themselves by drying the still-dirty car.Bad idea wrapped inside a panic attack nightmare. They also are horrible and scratch the hell out of clearcoat.
If you are talking about the post on Facebook I believe that guy has aftermarket wheels which some offset. I have went through touchless car wash at least five times and never had issue with the width. However I did noticed some light scratches on the paint. Don’t know if it’s from the car wash. I’m planning to polish one area and go through car wash again to see if it will scratch again.Well that’s what I thought.
I used to do that regardless of temps.Touchless technically don't/can't, but they get the vehicle negligibly clean and a lot of people do the scratching bit themselves by drying the still-dirty car.
The only thing I'll be doing on the RHO is a coin op pressure spray when it's super cold to get the salt off and otherwise hand washing.
Actually did the coin op the other day and nearly died a dozen times due to the several inches of ice built up in the bay.
Not a chance, YikesHas anyone run their RHO or TRX through an automatic car wash?
Just to be clear, I have been through an automatic touchless wash and it fits if you retract the mirrors...that said I think you need to check each wash to ensure the width will fit.Has anyone run their RHO or TRX through an automatic car wash?
I’ve had good results with touchless when the vehicle is waxed or has one of those semi-ceramic coatings on it. Especially beneficial with the undercarriage spray in the winter time.Touchless technically don't/can't, but they get the vehicle negligibly clean and a lot of people do the scratching bit themselves by drying the still-dirty car.

Ceramic would be fine. I'd be careful with wax though. A lot of those detergents they use are super caustic compared to what you'd use at home. They can strip wax and sealant pretty easily, in a lot of cases.I’ve had good results with touchless when the vehicle is waxed or has one of those semi-ceramic coatings on it. Yeah, frequently check the truck a few times a month for how much dirt and residue is on the paint. When I’ve got the Chemical Guys or similar brand ceramic stuff it’ll clean up way easy and water beads for 4-5 months.Ceramic would be fine. I'd be careful with wax though. I'm certainly not anti-touchless car wash, just like everything else has its strengths and weaknesses.
Yes, RHO - Twice so far - tunnel soft cloth. No Issues. I used to run my 21’ Rebel through-still looked new when I traded. I’ve also been running our 22 Wagoner through the same wash weekly, no issues and still looks new. It is the only wash I use. Note: please don’t hate because I’m lazy. I also trade cars every 3-5 years.Has anyone run their RHO or TRX through an automatic car wash?
