So I had my RHO ceramic coated a few weeks ago. Everything turned out great. When it rains the hood basically repels water.

Well I washed the car for the first time today and the lower half of sides/doors don’t seem like they are repelling water. See the pictures. Is this normal?

Definitely either not coated or not coated properly.

Which ceramic is this supposed to be? Is the installer reputable?

Okay. Thanks. Confirmed what I thought.

Soooo, how much did they take you for? :ROFLMAO:

$1,300 and that didn’t include wheels or glass. They have fantastic reviews. Been around forever. I’m wondering if I just got a new guy at the shop? I plan to send them the photos Monday. But by everything I’m reading it looks like both sides will need to be completely redone. Thoughts?

They had my truck for 3 full days and the truck was two weeks old when I dropped it off. So, I’m kind of surprised by the outcome.

Hopefully they will redo it although that's a damn good price for a ceramic so I question what they used and who applied it. Cheapest I got was $1900 for ICON Rock Clear from one detailer or Ceramic (brand?) from other detailers for at least 4K to start.

I beg your finest pardon?! I can’t even begin to fathom some of these prices! 4k on wheels and tires, sure. 4k on suspension upgrades, yup! But 4k for a coating blows my damn mind!

My guy did an amazing job of mine for $800.

$1200-$1500 is the going price all over my area. I contacted several shops. I went with middle of the road price and reputable shop.

I know it’s a lot of man hours to bill, so I get why it can be so expensive. I just couldn’t swallow that bill. I’m looking to upgrade and tear mine up. 😂

Plus…. I’m a poor peasant

Around my area, its $3k+ to do a full coating on the truck, last I checked. Not sure how you guys are seeing these good prices.

Unbelievable. I’d YouTube it and try it myself at that price!
