Dark Mode

Prior to the most recent uConnect update, most of the UI was light grey/white, all the time (day or night). Following the update, everything is black or dark grey all the time. I’ve checked all the settings I can find, but nothing seems to control this light vs dark appearance. Am I missing something, or is this just a hard-coded change?

If I recall there should be a "SET THEME" option where you can choose Light, Dark, or Auto.

I recall seeing that setting. But for the life of me, I can’t find it now following this latest update.

If I turn lights to running lights this happens. Also try your dimmer switch

My factory Nav always will stay in Dark Mode unless I turn my lights from auto to manual and then back to auto.

I do not have a set theme option in display settings.

I dropped my 2026 RHO level 1 off at a RAM service department. They told me that RAM said my RHO did not come with that option.

RAM customer service is non existent.

Sad as the RHO is a great truck but this lack of service and BS is unacceptable

This is from my 2025 Lvl 1. Menu: Vehicle > Settings > Display - Theme Mode options are near the bottom of the pic.

Well, at least I’m not crazy. That’s where I thought I saw it before. The setting is completely gone with this latest update.

He's correct, I did when I first got the truck but mine is gone now as well. Not sure what it defaults to.

It’s frustrating. I definitely preferred light mode during the day - everything was easier to see. Now mine is just dark mode all the time. If I had the choice, I’d rather have light all the time instead of dark.

Might be kind of blinding in the dark of night but I also much prefer the bright mode during the day.

I tried that three different times today, but doesn’t work for me. I’m guessing that trick only works if you still have the option in uConnect for the dark/light/auto.

I am working with my selling dealer to get this fixed or I will insist on a buyback process - defective product

Good News

My Dark Mode problem has been resolved.

It was fixed via the recent software updates that occurred the last few weeks. I noticed the first update followed by another update a few days later.

it fixed my Dark Mode problem.

Unbelievable and all is now good.

Interesting. The same two updates seem to have caused the issue in my case. My display modes worked fine until the two updates.

That is crazy that my Dark Mode factory Nav now changes properly and now your is not working.

Same to me, consistent dark mode with no option to change, but the entire ui is probably 50% or more responsive so I’ll take the dark mode for the massive change in lagginess in a positive direction
