Delivery date realistic?

My truck just went into production. The delivery date is listed as 5-19. It actually seems like that’s pretty far out if the truck is done in a week or so.

I realize there are outliers on both sides but on average do you think that times realistic? Maybe earlier? Date was set using a dart board?

My dealer told me to expect the estimated delivery date is highly inaccurate, so don’t put a lot of weight in it.

From what I’ve seen from others, production can go smoothly and last as short as a few days, or can go completely sideways and take weeks/months. Anybody’s guess how long it will take in transport after it finally completes production.

Highly inaccurate it's more of a buffer for them.
