I’m thinking about purchasing a base RHO, I have driven a friends raptor 3.5l ecoboost. His raptor didn’t seem much quicker than my current 2.7l ecoboost ford(not talking top end).

Is the Ram RHO quicker than the raptor ecoboost and is it more fun to drive?

Also are all Ram seats the same? I test drove a 2025 big horn and the back seat especially the middle seat seemed hard. I wasn’t sure if the foam was different compared to a big horn vs higher trim Ram.

I don’t think dealers around me will let me test drive a RHO, plus they’re not offering $10k off discounts.

- the rho is faster than the 3.5 eco raptor.
- my rho is objectively more fun to drive than my gen3 was.
- rho seats are stiffer than the gen3 seats, are similar to the recaro seats in the raptor than the base seats, in terms of cushion.
- why are you sitting in the backseat while driving?
- don't order from a dealership that isn't offering some kind of discount... there are tons of dealerships that are offering discounts
- happy hunting

My wife sits in the back seat with the kids sometimes, that’s why I was asking about seat comfort.

Raptors are dime a dozen. I see at least 3-4 just on my way to the grocery store. It's fun to be different. Only downside if you want to mod, there is 1000x more aftermarket support for a Raptor.

Ditch the raptor. I love the rho more in every single way. Period. Way fucking faster too holy cow. Close to 4 second 0-60 instead of 6 seconds. The suspension on the rho is so plush, the interior is light years ahead. Better screen, massaging seats, nice ass leather, the list goes on. You won't look back.

One and only raptor feature i miss is the fold down step in the tailgate. Way easier for loading and unloading shit out of the bed. The ram step is only on one side and at a weird angle.

Like others have said, I see about 10 raptors a day driving around, I see another rho/trx rarely. Nice to be different.

I do prefer the seats in the ram over the raptor, but I feel thats more of a personal opinion. The interior in the ram is much better, the raptor is very cheap and plasticy feeling for being a top trim level. The 8 speed is smoother than the 10 speed in the raptor. The extra 90 HP is noticeable. I know people say the ford holds value better but you also can’t get much of a discount, maybe a few thousand if you shop hard. The rho can be had $10k under sticker, if local isn’t discounting you can find a dealer who will. If you off road a lot and plan on adding aftermarket stuff the ford is going to offer a lot more aftermarket accessories.
