my dealership said I should have received an email from RAM with my VON. I never got it, is that something everyone else has experienced? I looked through the forms and haven’t seen anything about getting emailed. I requested for the dealership to provide me with it instead now.

Mine is getting ready to ship or has shipped and I have never received an email from Ram.

How did you find that out? Dealership I'm assuming? I keep checking the website where you type in your last name and the von number. Keeps saying scheduled lol I keep hitting refresh 😂

Yes sir the dealer seems to have the latest information we can get and more detailed information than the tracker shows. My tracker seems to update 2 to 7 days after a change occurs.

Your VON (vehicle order number) is generated the literal split intergalactic second that your order is placed.
It should be on your POC (priced order confirmation) that you get from your dealer at time of order.

Your VIN (vehicle identification number) is generated by RAM sometimes next day, sometimes a bit further.

I had my VON before I left the Sales Mgr's desk.

I got my dealer to order my RHO at a great discount, without a deposit, but in turn, they didn't want to put the order in my name for some reason. They never asked for a deposit and I've bought a handful of vehicles from them in the past; didn't think it was a big deal.

Was able to get the VON a few days later, but who knows what priority level it will receive (says Build Priority 99), or if the dealer actually has any allocation at the present. I've ordered numerous vehicles before from multiple auto manufacturers, going back almost 30 years, so while I may be new to RAM ordering process, I'm certainly not green to the overall general vehicle order process.

Not sure if I will be able to track the progress or not with the RAM vehicle order tracker. Put the dealer's name in with the VON and the only thing that comes up is "There’s currently no information about your vehicle available. Please check again later." The screenshot of the POC showed it at Status "BG - Order has passed edit but cannot be considered for scheduling."

I’m pretty sure RHOs need a name put on the order? So if they didn’t put your name on it. someone else’s name would be on it.

They put the POC in the dealer's name, but labeled it as a "Scheduling Priority: 1-Sold order."

Sounds like in that case you would not be price protected if there are any increases.
Do you have anything signed showing what the price would be?

Yes, they gave me a price proposal but like you mentioned, it wouldn't be price protected if my name wasn't on the order.

Maybe the RAM tracker just isn't updated yet? I noticed there is a place for the customer name on the bottom of the POC, and their screenshot of the VON just wasn't scrolled down all the way so I couldn't see that field. The one they gave me Friday to look over before they placed the order and received a VON, didn't have my name on it. The dealer's name is entered into the "Sold to:" and "Ship to:" field. Should I get a different message on the RAM tracker at my present "BG" status? Other than the "BG - Order has passed edit but cannot be considered for scheduling."

Sold to and ship to is not what matters here, that's at the top which dealership ordered, and if it were going somewhere else rather than that dealreship (like when we send to AEV for example).

What you need is the bottom of the POC where it says customer information.
I know you said they gave you a price proposal but is it signed by both praties is my question.

Got it. At what point in the process will I be able to login to the RAM vehicle order tracker and get a response other than "There’s currently no information about your vehicle available. Please check again later."?

No, no signatures, but I did get the price proposal (the front end) in writing. I have a working relationship with the dealership and I still have to get a good price for my trade to make it happen, so we'll see what it all looks like when I the RHO comes in. I was tallying up the $$$ I put into my Rebel HD 6.7 to get it to where it is now and it's going to be foolish for me to get rid of that truck after 2 years, so we'll see what the numbers look like.

Not trying to make this a bigger deal than it is, and perhaps you've got a great relationship that holds water - that is great!
We don't know what the POC says until you can see the bottom of it, everything else is guessing on their actions and intentions, so I'll hold pause there.
