When I first got the truck, oil was at the 3/4 mark. At around 1200 miles, I noticed indicated level had risen to the full mark and I was concerned. So I changed the oil at 1200 miles and sent a sample in for analysis. I can only assume something changed with the oil level sensor since the report only showed .8% fuel dilution. I have heard of some issues with the oil level sensor, but haven't heard much detail on wether there is some defect. I will bring it up with my local servicing dealer. Interested if anyone else has had issues. Thanks.

Who is everyone using for oil analysis these days?

I changed my oil and put in 7.5 quarts after a complete drain oil change (waited 30 minutes to drain) and I was one tick below full. After about 200 miles the reading moved to full like it was from the factory so there is a very fine line between the two and maybe one time it took a reading I might have been on a slight incline causing it to move.

I basically noticed the same thing as you. There is also an oil level update procedure. warm engine, let sit a few mins on level ground. turn ignition to run and wait 4 minutes. turn off the power.
