What was changed in regard to your launch control? If you have any steering pull on the highway, ask for the latest software update. Guessing they will do it anyway, if it’s being serviced at the dealer. Beware: It may also change your launch control parameters (mine changed after the steering update, but they may have also updated other modules/software).
Also, if you don’t plan to service it around 5K miles, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to change out the rear differential & transfer case fluids.
The rear diff gears tend to emit metal shavings early in life. Good to get those out & fresh fluid in.
And, the transfer case silicone sealing agents can reduce the effectiveness of the fluid in that unit. Someone posted a Blackstone evaluation on that fluid & it was near end of life @5K miles.
Default Launch RPM went from 3500 to 4000. And, if I adjust the launch RPM, it no longer “saves” my preference indefinitely. For example, if I set it to 3K RPM, it seems to randomly default back to 4K without warning. What was changed in regard to your launch control?
That's not good. I wonder what the logic is there. Did the dealer have an explanation?Default Launch RPM went from 3500 to 4000. And, if I adjust the launch RPM, it no longer “saves” my preference indefinitely. For example, if I set it to 3K RPM, it seems to randomly default back to 4K without warning.
BTW, 4K RPM launch isn’t an option under any of the operating conditions I have encountered, so hitting the Christmas Tree button gets me a “Launch Not Available RPMs Too High” message. Now, I have to enter Race Options before every launch.
I didn’t ask. I read the software flash TSB for the steering. No mention of modifications to LC feature. They changed out my ADAS module in the same visit, so maybe that caused the change. IDK.That's not good. I wonder what the logic is there. Did the dealer have an explanation?
