At 1500 miles not even a month into ownership I Woke up to go to work and vehicle wouldn’t auto start with fob or app. So I went outside and opened doors with laser cut key and no lights would turn on. I had Stellantis do roadside jump start and it was able to be turned on with multiple warning lights and BSM failure not working. I’m Taking it to not so close local dealer since 2 of the nearest dealerships can’t do battery claims under warranty on Saturday due to no main shop techs for warranty claims or are closed. Fingers crossed it’s just a battery replacement. Will update once I hear back but not a good start to brand new ownership of my RHO… I also reached out to my selling dealers GM since he sold me the RHO and the service manager. I originally did not get a response from the SM since the service department are closed Saturdays. The general manager actually replied via text and made sure to let me know he can help if the other dealership can’t by Monday by providing me a loaner which put me a little at ease for transportation.

I feel like you have to wake up to a dead car to be apart of the club. Keep us posted as to what you find out.

Yeah’ try driving it home 27 miles to wake up to go have fun with it and it’s shit dead! Dead at 27!
If you don’t have any luck, it’s more than likely the stupid start stop small battery. You can replace that one but the bad thing is the code and BSM that have to be cleared.
You would think that after some many issues they would just bring the trucks in recharge both batteries and be good.

Lmao right?!? I actually was hoping I’d be one of the few that did not have any RHO issues since it was built past the first batch of them but god had other things in mind for me

For what it’s worth, the codes will clear themselves within about 24 hours after a battery failure/disconnect.
Also for what it’s worth, a lot of us on the TRX forum ditched the OEM battery for an Odyssey H8. We don’t have the small start/stop batteries, so I don’t know what would be a suitable upgrade there.

Did you all have similar battery issues on the TRX, or was that just a preferred upgrade for a larger battery?

There were a several people who had dead batteries early on in ownership, accompanied by all the CEL’s and unexplained oddities.

Do we know why these brand new batteries are "dying" so often?

Nothing is for certain but ram I have heard ram switched battery suppliers to some company in china. I get it. They are trying to save money where they can but maybe ram could acknowledge the issues and not make me jump thru hoops to get new batteries.

Not Ram, but the old CEO Carlos did that, be basically was running us in the ground with cheap suppliers to put more money in his pockets.
