Time got away from me and I forgot to order a weigh safe 6” drop hitch. So the only thing I could find in a pinch was a 4” drop from Tractor Supply.

It towed great!!! I didn’t turn the tune off. The only thing I didn’t like was reverse going up hill….seemed a little soft compared to our Longhorn…still great regardless.

I don’t know if I’ll have the right hitch by next weekend but here is how she sits on my driveway. I’ll get the proper side shot on our way to the lake next weekend. :)

Looks great. I've wondered what the best drop would be for our trucks - sounds like my 2 inch drop hitch won't be enough.

Cool man. I'm about to hook up with my double waverunner trailer today. I think my 6" Rhino is going to be the ticket. Enjoy your water time.

Yes, I bought this hitch because it matched my truck. My wife calls me matchy matchy 😂

Looks great man! I should have pics of mine this coming weekend....sounds like I need to order a 6" drop hitch, though. I currently have a 4" and will have to figure out how to sell the wife on another hitch when the one I have "works". Now that the bad weather has moved out here in NTX I can go hook up and get the toys (boat and jet skits) ready! Should be a great holiday weekend!

Just curious....what lake?

Looks like its sitting good.

Any guys need a 6 inch drop I have some Weigh Safe over stock we can make some deals on!

Thanks!

It’s always something $$ wise :)

Yes, the weather looks great! We live 5 minutes from Lake Houston but will most likely take a quick trip to Lake Conroe

Hbu?

Chris

Boat looks good behind the truck! Lake Houston?

Yes sir! :) It’s 5 minutes from our house.

Going to Conroe this weekend but that place is crazy but like all the restaurants on the lake.

Chris

We keep our boats in storage on Conroe off of Hwy105. Usually try to avoid that lake on holiday weekends, but Ill be up there tomorrow evening and Sunday morning trying working on trailer lights.

Well did my first tow Saturday and I have mixed feelings. It pulls well and I have no issues with power or torque but the rear suspension feels really bouncy. I expected the rear suspension would stiffen up in TOW mode but that wasn't my experience. And it could very well be that I'm currently using a 4" drop hitch so I'll get a 6" adjustable one coming.

The other issue I have is I can't get the blind spot camera to come on when turning. Maybe I'm misunderstanding but I believe the blind spot camera should come on when you activate a turn signal and for whatever reason mine doesn't do that. It's not a big deal but if it's a feature that supposed to be on the truck it should work. Can anyone shed some light on this? Do I need to make a trip to the dealership?

Here are the other toys that will be in-tow behind the RHO at times

Looks great! What model is that?

Yours boat may be a bit more nose heavy? Right or wrong I was at just about a full tank on boat and really didn’t notice any excessive bouncing, more than our air sprung Longhorn but I expected that.

If you get a weigh hitch, you can see how much tongue weight is on the hitch and adjust as necessary.

The cameras have to be turned on, they don’t come on automatically. I found that I liked them initially but then didn’t so I turned them off. Super glad I got the tow mirrors.

It would be hell towing with the stock mirrors.

I towed a 600lb motorcycle in a relatively light all aluminum 7x14 cargo trailer (so about 2,200 lbs) with a Rebel that had the rear springs instead of air and it wasn’t confidence inspiring on the interstate. I wouldn’t expect the RHO to be any better.

Those boats look awesome behind the RHO!

It's a 2022 CS22...22.5" with the Volva Penta V6. Not all that fast but I don't need too much speed towing tubes, etc. My Seadoos are PLENTY fast...both supercharged and 230hp & 300hp respectively.

The boat was about half full on fuel but it's still possible it's bow heavy. I'm probably going to snag a Weigh Safe from Nick shortly to replace my 4" drop. Also, I think I figured the blind spot camera thing out. If you turn the setting to "ALWAYS ON" they work, but the other option besides off is "TRAILER ONLY" which leads me to believe it's for the accessory trailer cameras. Might have to dig deeper and consult the owner's manual

Where did you find this blind spot feature in the unconnect system ? I’ve never seen it.

If you get a weigh safe, you may learn some things you don't want to know! Boat trailers typically have a higher % of weight on the nose - so don't be surprised if you are north of 1,000 lbs of tongue weight - which will put you at or over you payload pretty quickly with a couple of passengers. Some people don't care - but it is a risk if you were ever in an accident.

It's in the settings under 'MIRRORS"
