Is anyone working on a flex fuel kit for the RHO? Last I checked tuners were still working to crack the ECU. It’s bound to happen, and very interested Ina flex fuel kit (ideal) or E85 tune.

I currently have a Cobb Accessport with custom 91 and E85 tunes. E85 is wonderful. Government subsidized race fuel. When I was on a work trip down in Iowa last week, it was $2.05/gallon!

Around $3.20-$3.30. I don't use it, so I had to look it up...

The E85 website says $2.49, but there are not a lot of stations that sell it.

There are two stations within 30 miles of my home.
 
I doubt there will be a true E85 tune option available any time soon. I’m running a JB4 and E30 in the meantime…

Going to need to cracl the ecu first, this is a long way out. On top of that, nobody is really sure of the fuel system flow capabilites.

For just asking sure you have a proper ethanol mix for something like a jb4, I'm sure installing an inline sensor wouldn't be too bad, it would not change the tune for more power though, just let you know the real time ethanol content

That was around Des Moines, Iowa. I live in the Twin Cities metro area but travel down there for work once a month.
 
I am sure Satera tuning will be releasing one.
 
a full E85 tune on the JB4 or through flashing the ECU would be awesome with how effortlessly that fuel created power and keeps any knock down. Has Burger or any companies tested to see if the stock RHO fuel system can support the demand of a full E85 tune? With my Audi SQ7 I know my E85 tune uses about 25-30% more fuel, but it's also an instant 125+ HP over a 91 tune, so I see no reason the RHO I6 could not be around 700HP on E85 =)

That could be answered with a quick phone call to Burger.
 
Below is some of the communication from Burger Motorsports with me by email on 10/10/2025. Not sure who it was as they did not state in their replies. I am also still confused by their "you can't run full E85" comment and if they actually did any full E85 testing. If anyone else finds out any info from Burger I would love to hear more.

ME: I saw an E85 map available with your JB4 tuner for that application. Is there a dyno chart using that map? What is the fuel duty cycle on E85 and does that vehicle need to have upgraded injectors or fuel pump to run E85?

BURGER: The stock fuel system can handle about 20-30% E85 with the JB4 installed. No need to upgrade the LPFP, HPFP or the injectors :)

ME: I am confused by the reply, so stock that vehicle cannot run 100% E85? Are you saying the stock fuel system can only handle E20-E30? I heard our crap CA 91 might soon be an E20 blend vs E10. Thank you for the clarification.

BURGER: You can't run full E85, stick to 20-30%.

It means possibly 2 things
Without a true flash tune you cannot run e85, since the piggyback can only fake readings to manipulate the ecu to run a certain way, they're limited in how much fuel can be added. If you have a true flash tune, you could run full e85 on the stock system, you'd just have to lower the boost and therefore the amount of fuel needed, basically you'd be de-tuning the car.
The other issue could be the stock fuel system is maxed out at e30.

Either way, we can run e85 right now

We can or Cannot run e85 right now? We can’t run full e85 but we can run a blend without issues
