Just a heads up my window tint and PPF installer showed me a TSB regarding the front windshield. It stated to AVOID applying film to the front windshield due to high potential of moisture seeping behind the corners of the dash which can compromise various modules. Furthermore, he contacted the owner of a local RAM dealership regarding this TSB, and he confirmed they have seen multiple 1500’s where they had to blow the dash apart to replace modules that had corrosion inside.
Anecdotal evidence they had a Tungston customer insist on adding UV film to the front screen. A day after taking delivery his truck just stopped in traffic and would not go into gear. Had to cycle power a couple times and luckily got it to move. Service found it to be a faulty module behind the dash.

Just wanted to post this as an FYI.

It’s been a known issue for several years now (the BCM gets fried). It can be safely done, though. The tint installers have to put down a soak strip along the length of the dash, and they have to be as careful as possible to minimize the amount of liquid.

Is this something you'd notice within a short period of the tint being applied? Or were people only seeing symptoms later on?

Bit late for me now, but I've not noticed any issues in the ~3 weeks since it's been put on.

My tint and PPF guy talked me out of getting any film on my windshield because of this specific thing.

Yeah Id like to know too as I had our front windshield done January 2nd...I would hope I would have experienced something by now.

I was concerned with this back in January when I had my windows tinted. My tint guy recommended me to wait till weather warms up so it dries much faster. Given this context I think once it dries after a few days and you don't have any problems you good

From everything I’ve seen, it’s immediate.

It has been a known issue but the BCM seems to of moved from the previous stupid spot to a little bit better on the 25+ trucks.
Yes I actually took a look when I got my windshield done and people should be a lot safer now if shops don't take precautions. No problems at all for 2+ months now after windshield done on rho but my shop knew to be careful. When I had this issue on one of the previous rams I got Xmas lights within minutes of pulling out of the shop but I just let he windshield bake for a week in sun and was good to go. Let's just say got lucky it dried out and didn't fry anything.

Tinted my windshield 55 and expel on outside of the window. No probpems
