Anyone else have a problem with the fuel nozzle shutting off before the truck is full when filling up at the gas station?

Lol ya it was a joke... Anyway it seems every car I've had stops some times

If this happens frequently, try sliding the nozzle back 1/2" and that should help

I had a vehicle about 10 years ago that I learned to do this as it assists with the back pressure which mimics a full tank and shuts the nozzle off to prevent overfill

A lot of it has to do with the vapor recovery port built into the fill nozzle. It can happen where if it detects too much vapor pressure, it's registering the tank as full. Just open the little spot cap a bit and wait a few seconds then continue.

Yup and some nozzles just suck. I find less issues with everything using Shell, Chevron etc gas stations. I’m sure there are some bad ones but they usually have to meet certain requirements to carry the name.

And really for any of your cars you should always use top tier gas.

I’ve only filled up twice and both times from Costco and both times it kept shutting off well before it was full. I’ll try Chevron and Shell next and see if it changes anything.

Yep. Seems that some pumps/gas stations are worse than others.

Agreed, still waiting on my RHO (now a 26) but my 21 Ram is a huge pain in the ass and was so hoping it was just my truck. 😒

it happened to me first time today as well.. taking gas at costco, I usually just go to the emptiest stall, which up to now were stalls on right, so I had to drag the hose and hold it while tanking.. today left stall was clear so I just let it tank itself after it shuts off, and when I got into truck and drove away I saw range of 325 miles lol.. shut off way too early.. but not a big deal I would say
