Anyone here have the Mopar running boards installed? I just HATE how the boards come out when I get near the truck with key fob in my pocket, drives me insane, no way to remove this feature that I’m aware of, even Mark Dodge hooked up to it and no option in their software, what in the actual F. Pounding head into pavement…

I wonder if turning off proximity/lights on when close would take care of it. Unless you need those on.

my old 2024 2500 only deployed when I opened the door. I wonder why it changed to this for 2025?

Can you remind me how to do that? Isn’t that just called “proximity”? Or passive something? Sorry clearly not in the truck right now, I’m a lazy mofo. If that’s what you’re referring to, I tried disabling that and nope the damn board comes out when I get close to it.

Yea it’s literally if I get within 20 feet or less from either side

Yes exactly what I had in mind but I guess makes no difference. I never had power boards on all my trucks so not sure. I even called my friend who has them on 23 trx and looks like his was doing this originally also. Then he had problems with one of the motors that dealer replaced under warranty about a year ago and they no longer deploy when being close to truck. Apparently he tried to make them deploy on approach again and was never able to.

My Mopar steps do not automatically deploy without unlocking the truck. I am guessing that is because I have not linked my profile to the fob? This might not be optimal but might be better than going insane.

After going back and forth with my dealer, I opted to wait for the Amp powersteps. I wanted control from uconnect but oh well. I'm sure it has to do with a uconnect setting.

That has to be it!! I’ll let them know thank you!!

Okay I am a bit worried... my dealer took my car yesterday at 8am to install the boards. Still don't have it back and got a "it was more complicated than we thought" response. Ughhh shouldn't this be a 3-4 install max by a dealer tech?
