Look I know the RHO was no Prius by any means… but is the MTE gauge absolutely unreliable? I haven’t done full tank mileage tracking, but I recently I’ve been seen some crazy numbers.

With some pretty mellow driving and pretty mellow terrain (no big hills or such), I drove to my local gym that’s 2 miles from my house yet MTE dropped by 12.

Anyone else seeing these crazy numbers? Hoping my actual range is there but the MTE gauge is just not accurate.

Appreciate any insight.

I’ve noticed on my 23 that it is about 20-30 miles off or more. The truck doesn’t update the gas gauge for every mile you drive it seems to me. Just when you burn a gallon or half gallon. I have 15k miles on mine with the digital dash and I’m assuming they are using the same algorithm

Practically a Prius. This is the past 55 miles

How in the world did you get that result?!
Reset MPG after fill up. Mostly highway driver through some traffic, I did drive like a granny to see what I can get if I controlled myself.

You’re a hyper-miler!

Easy. Fill up, get on the interstate and don't get off. Except one pee break. The trip averaged 70.1 MPH with a total range of 477. Cruise set between 76 and 78.

Next month have a 7 hour drive to Dallas. Going to try and beat this.

But yea, back to 12mpg in town.
