Hi,

Glad to join the community.

I’ve had multiple 5.7 hemi 1500 Rebels and just came out of a 2024 2500 Rebel Cummins. It was a great truck but I wasn’t towing so it made no sense to have all that extra mass and size.

The RHO is very impressive. It pretty much does it all, but mostly, I really love how luxurious and comfortable it is. Self driving with ventilated messaging seats in an off road pickup truck? Totally insane. But when I want to push it to rush somewhere, I can really move. It’s surprising how well it handles. It still has a loose off-road based suspension but man does it keep it together on the streets, all things considered.

Overall it’s an amazing daily driver. Hope it’s as reliable as all my other trucks have been.

I just got it tinted and already ordered some go rhino running boards. I’m pretty sure I won’t mod anything else on it as it literally looks perfect. Some more sound (intake for turbo noise) might be interesting but not sure I’d want to sacrifice the warranty for that. But we will see what the future holds as I literally have modded every vehicle I’ve owned.

Truck looks great - and thanks for the backstory. Glad you’re enjoying so far…it’s good to hear when these trucks come out right. Maybe they’ve figured a few things out and pushed whatever updates they needed to. Let’s hope so anyway.

Your story sounds similar to mine. I’m on my 3rd Ram 1500 and all 3 have been great trucks. In fact I just hit 129,000 on my 2020, which has the 5.7 HEMI. It’s been a great truck. Looked at the TRX but it was just too much truck. Not saying the RHO isn’t a lot, but like you said, all the luxuries of luxury ride but feel free to go off-roading or rip past a poor unsuspecting 20year old who thought you just had a jacked up truck - lol.
Mine is scheduled to be assembled in early June, so fingers crossed! So, looking forward to it.

Congrats on the great looking Rhino and welcome to the other side of the tracks! I believe you'll find several of us long-time RAM owners here......the RHO is my 4th since 2014. I'm in the same camp as you, too. I actually came out of a 2024 GMC 1500 AT4X with the now recalled 6.2L L87 motor that spun a rod bearing at 21k miles right at the 1-year mark. The whole platform has turned into a shit show with GM and affects some 900k vehicles with that power plant....and it just keeps getting worse. I'm a happy camper to be back in a RAM, even without the 5.7L. The Hurricane may not have the same beautiful V8 sound...but man does it go when you ask it to!

Go ahead and put that intake on there if you want (assuming you find one) and add a better exhaust, too. There are a few offerings out there right now that sounds pretty decent....it will likely be the AFE Vulcan cat-back for me. Neither of those will add any chance of voiding factory warranty UNLESS it can be proven that they caused the failure. So for small simple mods like that you're generally pretty safe. Looking forward to see what you do with it!

Great feedback! I came out of a '20 Limited EcoDiesel that I really, really liked. Been in my RHO for a week now, and while some things are very familiar, the tech in the RHO is light years ahead of the Limited. I had the indigo/ivory interior in my Limited, so the black interior is taking some getting used to. As far as the engine, I greatly appreciate the lack of sound, as the truck is my office as well. I actually fired up my ZL1 yesterday and took it for a blast to get my ole V8 rumble fix!

Congrats on the build. I think you’ll love it.

Thanks for the advice. Some dealers will use any mod as an excuse to void warranty…but I know the law is they have to prove it. But it still involves getting attorneys involved and is a headache. With that said, like I said, I tend to mod every single car so I’m sure once some items hit the market, I’ll be on board.
And yes, crazy what is going on with Chevy and their 6.2! I was really looking into them since I can’t turn down a big displacement V8. Glad I skipped that one!

Yes I have some other tech heavy euro cars and this RHO not only rivals them but bests them as far as I’m concerned.
Also, nice on the ZL1! Trucks with a badass sound are great but can definitely get old quick when it’s your daily driver/work truck. I also have a sports car in the garage to scratch that itch and it’s got a V12 so I’m actually glad the RHO is quiet when I want it to be. Still, the WOT sound with the fuel cut shifts actually sounds quite good. Everyone’s been impressed by it who have been in my truck. Even my wife who is a big cylinder elitist, said she was impressed by this thing and said it’s my best truck yet. She thinks it looks sexy and sophisticated with its curves while still being menacing. I didn’t get this truck to impress the ladies but that’s definitely a win.

When mama is happy....everybody's happy! My wife wasn't thrilled with me wanting to dump a 1-yr old truck that we'd paid off at the end of last year....but once she saw the red and the body lines and the wide hips on this truck and got back in RAM interior...she literally told the salesman "we'd drive it off the lot right now if we knew what was going to happen with the AT4X". So yeah....it has that affect....and it gets lots of compliments out in public. This will likely be the closest thing I ever own to a supercar (unless I can talk the wife into Porsche 992 GT3RS).....and I think I can live with that!

I came out of a 2022 Power Wagon so I understand daily driving all that mass around. I picked up my RHO on Wednesday and it’s an absolute blast to drive.

Before my Power Wagon, I had a 2022 ram rebel 1500 with the Hemi 5.7 and that was a great truck as well. It had the GT package and that upgraded exhaust from the factory really sounded great.

My wife was also shocked that I would trade my “dream truck” Cummins big boy with the spec I wanted and even modded to my liking. She didn’t understand until I pulled up the driveway and took her for a ride. She absolutely loves it and says it’s the best one we’ve had by far.

Bro, as amazing as a supercar is (trust me, I’ve had multiple from different brands), if I could only have one, I’d absolutely have a supertruck/super suv. Can’t beat the versatility and comfort of these things.

Wow, very similar to my situation! Yeah this thing feels very athletic and nimble compared to the 2500’s. It’s funny when I describe my RHO as a smaller nimble truck and people see it and are like “uh you call that small?”
It’s not that it’s a little truck by any means, it’s just the proportions are very lean, muscular and curvy vs blocky, chunky, and chunky. Plus it can change directions and hustle out of turns like a sport suv. The 2500 was a freight train.

I tried the hands free driving today on the interstate.
It works! I was totally shocked as I’ve never had a vehicle able to do this. Well there was a bmw and Mercedes but I had to hold the wheel every few seconds. This is legit. It even switches lanes when you hit the blinker.
I’m not really a cruise control type guy but this was impressive nonetheless and on a long trip I may use this.

That's great that it works - looking forward to that.
Also great that you were able to do the "rock on" hands (with both hands apparently) while jamming to Metallica! Master - Master....
