Stealth is putting out a new style of piggy back tuner. They call it a Stealth catalyst module. It only has three plugs. Tmap, Map, MAF. Plugs into a module. Then it has a basic switch. Stock, low, medium, and high. You can either run the simple switch through the firewall or just leave it in the engine bay. No Dyno numbers. They said they ran it through a torture test on two different dynos. Said they don’t like to post numbers. Totally understand. But they hinted at 50-60 wheel HP. SO-HO. Torque 70-80 SO-HO. So I decided to order one. Just waiting on them to ship. Will compare it to my old cat6. I personally like the like the idea of only three connections. Super easy to take off for the dealership visit. I’m okay without all the tech. Not building a rocket ship, or am I. Lol

Already a thread started on this.
It is interesting if it is only three connections and they’re all under the hood. I think Diablo said it was five and JB4 said it used three under the hood and one at the OBD two.
I think a factory tuner is coming with an actual tune no piggyback, but I don’t think we will see it until next year

Thank you. Didn’t realize there was already an article up. One day DC will come out with a tune. It’s been on the table for a year or so. I will get it as soon as it comes out. Until then I’ll have fun playing. lol

Did you install this yet? I'm having a difficult time trying to install

I’ve not received mine yet. It’s supposed to be here tomorrow late afternoon. Did you get yours figured out?
Yes. If you have any issues installing let me know, I can help.

Just an fyi, the instructions suck, it's not for High output. The Tmap was a bitch to find. Easiest way is through the wheel well.

Stealth was good about communicating. After I figured out the easiest way for the tmap they're supposed to update the instructions

Thank you. Glad you got it figured out. If I remember correctly I think I saw a video of the JB4 on the HO having to do the same thing?? Mine is supposed to be here from 1pm to 4pm today. How donyou like it so far? Thank you again.

I can see the sensor through my wheel well. Kinda glad I have the 1.6” Eibachs on. Can see it pretty good through there. I can see where it would be a pain from up top with out removing the air box. Still waiting on mine to show up. Lol

Nice. Looking forward to your thoughts on the performance and smoothness

My response on the other thread:

You guys realize, less connections definitely doesn’t mean better. I’d say quite the opposite with a piggy back unit.

And I’m with @rogersak1 …DS is proven…JB4 is pretty good and definitely proven with BMW….this?

You’re saving $250 on a 75k vehicle @Saints Don’t suppose you use regular gas too because premium is too expensive.

And they have no dyno numbers?

I’d run fast. But hey it’s your money and truck.

You’re also biased since you beta tested for them. I have none but leaning Cat6 anyway for the throttle control. Not a fan of how JB4 is “controlling the throttle”.

For sure. Both JB4 and DS have done a ton of testing and had numbers to present before releasing them.

And I’m all for more competition in the market..but if presenting something “new” that could be an alternative to the others. You should have the research, results and why your product should be bought.

To me, it just seems to be too big a risk to be a guinea pig.

Well we knew one thing for sure. Just like every thread or post that you’d be in here to cheerlead for the cat6. Sometimes you’d shit on peoples opinions and sometimes you’ll try to be reasonable. Keep up the good fight though. I was all about choosing the cat6, but you’ve kind of changed my mind on that.

Be an adult and don’t let your emotions make your decisions. See how that works.
