NHTSA Probing 877,000 GM trucks over engine failures

I 100% empathize with all my RHO Family with truck issues...

But it appears we still made the right choice.
... And that's why I'm here. I caught wind of that impending 💩 show and decided to get out while I still could. Sold my Sierra Denali, which is a nice truck, but I didn't want to go through spinning a main without warning. Even if GM admits fault, it'll be forever trying to get it taken care of. When I heard about the RHO, problem solved. Well, once I get it anyway.

Sold my Sierra with the 6.2 just in time it looks like. This has to have an impact on the market for those vehicles.

Agreed 100%. I got out of mine last week instead of waiting to trade it in at delivery.

If I went that route, I would have done the diesel - not the 6.2l. I realize our 3.0 vs. that engine is arguably apples and oranges. But, having a truck that gets over 20mpg combined isn't a bad thing . . .

The active fuel management is a double edged sword. I got as high as 26 on the highway in the 6.2 but the AFM, I believe, is what's killing the main bearings. I read that program can send as many as 17 different cylinder firing patterns. Poor crank is like wtf! 😂
