Hi Everyone,

Hoping for some real world advice from the collective. Is there anyone with experience and recommendations on going with a graphene, ceramic or a elastomer nanoarchitecture like Dr Beasley’s Nano-Resin Pro? I was planning to go with graphene but it's new and has limited exposure, but a detailer advised me that if I wanted the best that I should go with Dr. Beasley's Nano-Resin pro.

Thanks in advance for any thoughts or advice!

Literally never heard of this and I've been in the game for a couple decades. Definitely not "the best" but maybe it's good?

I had a shop install ceramic on my last truck and it worked great. This time to try something new I bought Ethos pro graphene and am going to have the same shop install it for me. It's easy to apply, but I don't want to do the prep work. From videos I watched graphene sounds like it has an edge on ceramic. It lasts 5-10 years, more flexible, harder, less water spotting and is a little easier to apply (less high spotting) I haven't taken mine to get coated yet so I can't speak from experience yet. Its annoying washing the truck without a coating though. I didn't realize how much easier my previous ceramic coat helped.

I coated a Challenger I had with a Graphene coating from Adam’s. It was easy to work for a consumer and it had great hydrophobic properties. I’m not super experienced with coating types and I don’t keep vehicles long enough to know how long the coatings last. My main concern is ease of application and in general I trust Adam’s products.

I bought their graphene detailing spray to use as a drying aid after using their regular detailing spray as a drying aid and having a great experience with it.

Thanks for the feedback. I've decided to go with ceramic versus graphene. After talking to several detail shops there are many that just are not familiar with graphene. One thing I did read about was stacking the coatings, for example, putting graphene over ceramic to get additional benefits. Considering this, I may have it professionally ceramic coated and then try the do-it-yourself Adams graphene coating.

Real world zero tangible differences. Also zero tangible benefits to stacking these.

I had my place use Ethos Graphene Pro

So is putting a t-shirt over your body armor. Yes, technically the t-shirt add another layer of protection :ROFLMAO:

In all seriousness though, I think if you're having a pro do it, I'd stop there. If you want more protection, you could check into PPF. That's a whole different animal.

Not sure about any warranty, but the place that did mine offers 2,4 and 8 year coatings. With the 8 year coating, they'll reapply if every 2 years for free when you pay for a detail. And they'll do it for the life of the vehicle, not just 8 years.

I'm new to this stuff also, but this shop has done a few TRX's, and mostly does exotic cars, along with all the usual German imports. I figured I was in good company.

That makes sense. I can get behind an installment plan like that. The warranties are purely fantasy though. Zero way to prove it

All depends how much weather it sees I’m sure. My vette that sits in my garage and comes out on nice days only? Sure it may last that long. My truck that sits outside and is driven all year? No chance.

This is exactly what happened after I talked to the shop. Will do ceramic followed by PPF. The next step is to decide just how much I want to PPF$.

I'm with you I thought PPF wouldn't adhere very well over ceramic

I'd recommend choosing which areas you want to PPF, do those first, and then have the whole thing ceramic coated.

Nothing will stick well to ceramic (dirt, decals, etc...), that's the point of getting it.
