Random to some but high value off road truck comparison
When my truck was waiting for a software flash that was never coming for the safety system faults, I considered the 2025 F250 Tremor.
Bottom line, I loved the Godzilla over the Hurricane, despite the poor fuel economy. It felt & sounded like a full-size pickup engine should feel & sound. Effortless with a deep exhaust rumble.
But, the seats in the F-250 are optimized for drivers under 6’ tall. I’m 6’2” & my shoulder blades were pushed forward by the top of the seat, causing my shoulders to hunch forward. Those seats were killing my back in under 45 minutes! And, I don’t have a bad back.
I’m at 5+K miles on my RHO & still am not a fan of the Hurricane. It does NOT feel like an I6 Cummins diesel, as you mentioned in the video. The Cummins, which I’ve owned in a 2500, is over 6 liters. The little 3 liter Hurricane can’t compete with that level of grunt. But, the Hurricane is getting better & better fuel economy as miles accumulate. I’m seeing 20 mpg on level sections of highway, which is new.
Yeah…I hear what you are saying. The RHO is an overall great package, but the engine leaves me cold. It tries too hard & feels “frenzied” when all I want to do is merge into highway traffic. You're all worried about sound and "grunt" but absolutely no mention of the fact that the RHO would absolutely smoke either of those trucks in the power and speed department? Not to mention how much more capable off-road it is.
The f250 Tremor alone is down 110hp and weighs what? 900lbs more?
If you're all about sound or grunt of a Cummins, then you probably shouldn't have bought an RHO because you're not the target buyer.
Who exactly is the target buyer for RHO
540 HP for 0-60 & throwing your ass back into the seat. In a 6000+lb lifted pickup on 35s?
That’s the RHO target market.
Oooh Kaaay…yeah, that’s not me.
I appreciate your insight. Really. Cheers.
