Hey yall I just put my order in for my RHO super excited! The dealer showed me the build sheet and it highlighted the exterior graphics and bed utility as restricted? Does anyone know what that means? They said it might just take longer to build but I’m not sure if they know what they are talking about for building as they only have done 3-4.

When it said restrictions on bead lock wheels, they told me I couldn’t get them

A restriction means they’re temporarily not allowing it on orders. Usually due to a supply chain issue. In most cases, the restrictions go away after a few days or a few weeks.
If you really want those options, just give it a little time and try again.

Weird thing is the order went in? He said it went through and I’m good

Adam at Glover provided some insight that might be helpful on this. Glad your order went through!

RESTRICTION (item shaded in red) means that there is A restriction on that particular item for A reason in A scenario.
It does NOT mean that the item cannot be ordered at all for all reasons in all scenarios.

Beadlock wheels are not on restriction, and to my knowledge never were, they are CLOSED. They are not even on the screen to click on, gone, poof, bye, compared to an item on RESTRICTION that is allowed to click on, or not, yet is shaded in red.

A VERY large portion of the items on restriction are because of constraints on STOCK allocation, unrelated to sold orders. For example if supply chain decides that they want to make only shortbed laramies for a certain ordering cycle, or only hurricanes no pentastars, then the alternate item will show red in restriction. This means that dealers may NOT order them for dealer stock. It may or may not mean they can order them for factory orders. But it will definitely show in red, even on the sold order toggle.

It can also mean that the whole damn trim level has filled up it's dealer stock allocation for that cycle, but a factory order may still be placed w customer name on it.

It MAY mean that the particular item could slow down your prospective timeline, it may not.

In regards to bed utility and graphics, they are currently shaded in red when placing a factory order. They are UNAVAILABLE when placing a stock order (on all 1500s, not just RHO).

Long story short, it means SOMETHING but it's not the end-all be-all, so long as it is on your order. Nothing in life is guaranteed, but if your order goes in and gets D status with a VIN assigned, you're at about 98% kosher. Only exception I'll say is in the beginning of the model year when they don't have all their must-haves linked together properly (tow mirrors with tow group in beginning for example) some slipped through and had to get called back, but that's a different story.

Here's a Bighorn ordered with the engine choice on restriction, and where it sits now

Here's what a STOCK order for a Laramie looks like right now, notice the shading but more importantly that you CAN"T click that box on bed util (or offroad, in this case)

And finally, an example how how items can be assigned open/closed for sold order vs stock order

I must’ve tried to order mine with bead locks right as they were first getting ready to make them disappear. Poof gone. I have the burgundy lined out order sheet where it says bead lock, wheels restricted and then when he put the order in four days later they were gone poof. You can only get them if you order the hideous Mopar edition.
