I was hoping for better fuel economy. My Cayenne S has a twin turbo V6 with 430 hp. It easily gets 24mpg on road trips! Not a fair comparison I'll admit.

Considering my current hemi 5.7 only getting about 1 mpg more with basically 34s this is not bad at all. I've even seen 14.6 hand calculated. It's definitely what I was expecting around 15pmg when ordering this as daily because I do about 25k a year.I was hoping for better fuel economy. My Cayenne S has a twin turbo V6 with 430 hp. I think these trucks run very rich with all the farting out of the exhaust and terrible mpgConsidering my current hemi 5.7 only getting about 1 mpg more with basically 34s this is not bad at all. I agree. Also Pushing 24 lb boost requires fuel to maintain AF. Bet if you keep boost down, use torque of motor (twin cam with VVT) I bet you can pull down some nice mileage. Cruise control will kill mileage. Typical of any boosted motor.I think these trucks run very rich with all the farting out of the exhaust and terrible mpg
Motors and drivetrain can become more efficient (or lose) but there is also the driver factor where people start getting used to what the truck likes. This i6 turbo should be a good motor, but I will miss the v8 sound! There is always a cost. LOLit should get better fuel mileage as it breaks in, my wrangler was only getting like 15 mpg new and now it's up to 17-18 with 11k miles
