Trying to keep payload at 1450+ for some infrequent towing always with weight dist hitch.

Level 1 out of the question?

If so, any recommended options for a towing specific rho?

I believe bare bones nothing added gets you #1520.

Check out @Ctech-Review posts and YouTube. He added bags to his RHO for towing his enclosed trailer. You can add a rear sway bar @Nick797 offers. Assuming you add the tow package when ordering the truck, I am not aware of any additional mods that will help with towing. Beyond that you probably have to get invasive like swapping shocks and springs.
Keep in mind everything you do to improve payload and towing will negatively affect the trucks off-road capability.

Thanks Scottie...got a few more videos coming on RHO towing...also got a discount code coming soon for airbags! stay tuned!

What are you towing and how much weight?

Thanks for asking.

26 ft TT tandem axle w WDH

I tow about 1000 miles per year (mostly local around Tahoe)

Rough calculation:

GVWR 10% = 670 lbs.
bed cover with bed rug = 100 lbs.
2 adults: 300 lbs.
Generator plus 15 gal gas 150 lbs.
2 dogs: 150 lbs.

That’s 1370 lbs.

I think a bare bone rho could do this based on 1520 payload and 8300 towing capacity.
but would like to known if I can add Level 1, red stitching, towing tech group and lightest weight sidesteps (ram or aftermarket).

Really want to get behind a rho as the towing I would be doing is minimal.

Thoughts?

Just knowing what they can tow as a maximum, you are well under that. You will be fine with the level 1 and will love that package! :)

We tow a 23' boat a bit over 5k lbs with zero issues. We also have the pano, DEFINITELY get the tow mirrors, you WILL need them.

Thanks for the info.
Pretty much why I came on here.
Good to see real life towing.
I’d like the pano, but willing to walk away from it to save 100lbs in payload. 😭

Curious- How much squat do you get if any?

If you look at the pic, its a bit over an inch. I will need to remember before and after height. But it was less than I thought it was going to be considering how compliant the suspension is.

Ctech reviews load capacity is 1357 pounds. Tim at pick up truck SUV talked has a load capacity of 1402 pounds. Both of them have the level one package ram running boards and if I remember right sunroof. The only difference in their truck is Ctech has the bed utility group.
