Went to go fishing yesterday, and was planning to pull my boat for the first time with my RHO. When I hooked up the boat trailer, and checked the lights, I had turn signals, brake lights, hazards, and reverse, but no running lights. I thought maybe it was a fuse but they were all good. I hooked up to my other boat trailer and had the same results. All the lights work except running lights. At that point I hooked both trailers up to my buddy's trucks, all the lights work perfect for both trailers on both of their trucks (2022 Ram 1500 and 2024 Ford F150). I'm very frustrated at this point, I "googled" the issue and found serval posts on multiple websites where people with 2025 Ram 1500's are having this same issue. When I got to work this morning, I had one of my techs open up and STAR case on the issue. He was told "that is a know issue, and there is no current fix. We are working on it". They also said they are experiencing a similar issue to mine where as if the trailer has incandescent lights (not led, both my trailers are 100% led) the truck won't power any of the lights. This too is a "known issue with no fix" according to the STAR engineer.
So, needless to say I'm pissed off. How simple is it to make trailer lights work? My tech says they keep trying to make these trucks "so smart", and in the process they make the things that should be simple and easy, so tech heavy, that they don't work at all.
Has anyone else had trailer light issues?
