I received both of our trucks, one is broken one is not. at the end of the day we put down $1000 Deposit. We didn't hand them $80K plus up front, now i think that would be reasonable to raise hell. The dealerships take your order, process your order and RAM has a tracker for the end user to check on, the dealerships get a tiny bit of little more information here & there. (as far as people doubting their truck was ordered, a VIN & Order # would not of been generated). After your order is placed you just wait, there isn't someone to hold your hand through the process unfortunately or provide you with daily updates. I'm not sticking up for the dealership or anything i just know that their intentions aren't this : Haha we have his $1000, lets never order his/her truck!
I'm sure it can cause stress on the customer side(as I'm guilty of being stressed over having a broken truck I can't drive, yes I've contacted ram etc and have cases open and i'll be getting reimbursed for the time the truck is down..but I can't make the parts appear out of thin air to fix it but I'm not going to make it somebody else's problem. ) ,& I think we all understand that. But the person you are laying into at the dealership is a human too & you've got no idea what they have going on in their life and to be attacked by a customer over the phone or email may not be something that they need in their lives, especially being an adult who is upset over a "luxury" pick up truck. My dealership experience wasn't the most fantastic, but I don't think it speaks for the dealership in its entirety, Just be kind & patient.
