Another rust question from me...

Is there anyway to slow this down? I guess I am surprised to see rust underneath at 700 miles. I could be over analyzing.

I’ve noticed a few points of rust popping up, especially on underbody welds.

Looked under a 2023 TRX on a lift at the dealer & saw none. Seems they are not doing a great job with the e-coat on the newest Rams. They used to do better.

Not sure what can be done at this point. Maybe hit it with a rust converter fluid, then chassis black spray paint?

Is this something our warranty/dealer can address? Or am I too hopeful...

Otherwise, I will be picking up some rust converter and black paint. Maybe POR 15?

I come from owning landcruisers, and rust was a killer of those rigs. I guess that experience has me on rust patrol lol

I’ve used their primer…great stuff!

Some could just be surface rust. I had a couple of spots to my surprise just wiped off.

I’d want to wipe it off with a rust inhibitor…just my $.02

I did try wiping it with some detailing spray. It is just surface rust, but I had no luck with it wiping off.

I will try a degreaser tomorrow. Then rust converter or inhibitor and paint.
