I just got this light came up to my dashboard saying "check trailer light'' haven't notice how it affects my trucks it's just annoying hearing the sound it makes every 10 seconds get I get the notification.... Taking it to the dealership today and see what they say.

That light also has just started to pop up on my truck as well now. Thinks I’m towing a trailer.

That explains something a bit......towed my jet skis to the dealership a couple months back for winterization and for whatever reason the passenger side brake light/tail light on the trailer didn't work. I paid them $300 to check over all the trailer wiring to make sure I didn't screw something up when I installed the folding tongue insert and they came back saying all the trailer wiring was good and that it might be something with my truck. It worked after that but that could explain that failure

I highly suspect it is. Along with the problems with the digital dash going blank.
The "body vendor backup" excuse is convenient, but just doesn't make sense. On top of all the RHO window stickers that are gushing out, all other trims are doing the same. Including trucks that have zero accessories that would require going to the body vendor.

I feel the same way, 2 weeks at the dealer, a day later a CEL pops up. Is this a module I can buy and replace or is it a dealer specific issue? Why did they put bad modules on to begin with

So, I have replaced mine once and still get the same issue. You cannot buy and replace. It needs to be proxied(programed) etc. by dealer. Rear seat needs to come out to replace as well.

There are a couple of optional packages (none of which are in the standard RHO MSRP).

Unless I'm mistaken, all RHO's come with the trailer brake control. So it might be that all RHO's have the "trailer tow module".

I got this message apparently on 2/9 in the app and just now saw it. I have both of the towing options so it makes sense for mine for sure. Wonder if @RamCares will reimburse me for the diag money I’m out having my trailer wiring gone through because of it…..

And now that I’m reading the towing tech features…wonder if the digital auto dimming rear view mirror means the side mirrors….. because mine don’t dim. I know they can because I’ve seen it once…. But they don’t now and only did that one time

Literally just picked up my RHO at the dealership after 2 days of service due to this trailer tow light recall. After 2 days, I was told parts are back-ordered and the parts that do arrive to the dealership are prioritized for new trucks on their lot. WTF?! I'm out here towing an RV trailer and actually driving over the road but NOT prioritized?!! Hope others have better luck. Be safe!

After 2 days, I was told parts are back-ordered and the parts that do arrive to the dealership are prioritized for new trucks on their lot. WTF?! I'm out here towing an RV trailer and actually driving over the road but NOT prioritized?!! Hope others have better luck. Be safe!

My truck got it WS last week and I am waiting for a ship date -- checked my VIN on the NHTSA web site and it shows no recall Info -- I ordered my truck with the tow packages -- will keep checking the VIN once it arrives -- hoping they fixed the issue before issuing the WS and being sent to shipping...
