2020 Rap —> RHO (First Time Ram Owner)

First off, I want to say that I LOVED my Raptor…so much I had a turbo replaced at 19k, burned out my cats at 50k, and a hole in my valve cover…I used my Rap like a truck and took it on long hunts with lots of off-roading. You have to love something to put up with so much….(insert expletive). The interior and sunroof rattled like hell, but it was still a blast to drive.

I picked up an RHO from a local dealer out here in the San Luis Obispo, Ca area. All I can say is this RHO is a better truck in NEARLY every way. I’ve already put 1k miles on it breaking in the motor on a long trip up and back to Sacramento andhave done some towing (about 4k so nothing major).

the trip up was 350 milesish. I kept it below 70 and drove like I was breaking in the motor…and achieved 12.9 MPG!!! Over 325 miles of the trip were highway…Not super happy about that but whatever.

I’d be happy to answer any questions comparing the trucks, but there are TONS of converts on this forum who are way more experienced owners of these types of trucks.

For the record, I expect some issues with this truck…it would be an engineering miracle to have no issues with this motor setup/all the rad tech on this beast. It’s all in the quality of service IMO…and I used 2 separate Ford dealers and I had horrible experiences with both. I’ll let y’all know if I have issues w/my local dealership.

I was born and raised here. Left for a 12.5 year stint in the Army and feel TRULY blessed to call this place home! I grew up riding out in Pismo…and although this truck would be a blast out there…It destroys vehicles so I’m going to resist as long as possible lol!

A very fair deal IMO. Plus gave me a great price for my Raptor, which I was sure I was going to have to sell privately.

I had a 24 raptor in avalanche grey and the only thing I miss is that color lol. The rho is much better imo. Transmission is much smoother and the interior is top notch. The extra 90 HP is noticeable

SLO....The one and only Madonna Inn...Just looked it up and it is still there...Appears exactly as it did 25 years ago when we stayed there!

Ive only had it a few weeks but have not had any issues
