This is worth doing!
I've got an A229 Pro in my 2019 Laramie. Very happy with it.I didn’t think about curtain airbags for wiring the rear camera. I’ll be looking for how to wire next week when my truck gets here. I have the A229 pro waiting to be installed.
Did you ever hardwire this in? I started yesterday to try and use the HK4 hardwire kit and realized it was much more involved than I thought it would be.This is worth doing!
This is how I hardwired it. Took me less than 30 mins.Did you ever hardwire this in? I started yesterday to try and use the HK4 hardwire kit and realized it was much more involved than I thought it would be.
I saw that and great write up. I have the fuse tap for parking mode but didn’t realize it didn’t have clear instructions and you kind of have to figure it out yourself. This is how I hardwired it. Took me less than 30 mins.

How to: Quick and easy dash cam install - Viofo
Here's a quick and easy dash cam install I did on my RHO in about 20 minutes. All you'll need is a plastic trim tool to remove the rear view mirror housing. Please note this power method only works while the truck is running or accessory mode is on. If you want it to power while off and in park...www.ram-rho.com
Right on. I considered that option but with the battery issues I didn't want to run it to the battery just in case.I saw that and great write up. I have the fuse tap for parking mode but didn’t realize it didn’t have clear instructions and you kind of have to figure it out yourself.
No...got to busy with other projects and after last battery issue I am not sure I want too now.Did you ever hardwire this in? I started yesterday to try and use the HK4 hardwire kit and realized it was much more involved than I thought it would be.
