2nd RHO Down

I guess my question would be.... Don't these share the same electrical and technologies as the tungsten and limited. Are they seeing the same issues on those?

I'd be interested to see really data on how many are driving around problem free vs problematic.

Also hoping once the 2025 builds are done, they take a few months off to figure some things out and try to remedy some known issues before pushing the 2026s out. I'd rather wait a few extra months and have a more reliable vehicle, than get my vehicle sooner just to look at it sitting in the service department.
That won’t happen. At most, they occasionally shut down for a week or two between model years when there’s retooling that needs to be done. But when the models are basically the same, they usually start building the new ones as they finish off the old ones. In other words, no break at all.

This sounds very familiar to my issue here Thread 'Trouble at two weeks of ownership (Hydraulic Control Unit Failure)' https://www.ram-rho.com/threads/tro...wnership-hydraulic-control-unit-failure.1708/ I wish you the best of luck in getting fixed quickly. For mine, most of the delays were improper procedure for bleeding the brakes. They ended up having to send an engineer out to the dealership to assist.
Yeah I actually shared your issues and problems with the dealership so they know to bleed the brakes correctly whenever the parts do end up coming. But I didn’t have any of the brake issue, mechanical issues and suspension symptoms you had, I was still able to brake fine, my suspension behaved normally and I still had full power with normal shift behavior. The only codes that came up from the ECU was an implausible speed observed code record from the ABS module.

3000 miles seems to be the breaking point for most of these trucks... If you can make it to 4k or 5k...Basically after the first recommended oil change your chances of issues seem to drop. I made it to 3100 and bam! Dead truck... I just got my rental car and I've been promised I'll be refunded for the cost as long as my issue is under warranty (after 3 months it damn well better be). So far they have replaced all of my batteries and are doing 'system checks' on the electrical system... I have a feeling it's going to sit at the dealership for awhile.

Yep, same here. I made it to 3300 miles.

How fucking hard is it to bleed the brakes ?????? They got some new kinda brakes on these things or something ??

Anyone else here observe the gauge cluster blinking non stop when parked? I noticed on my security cameras last night that the gauge cluster was blinking the entire night. I thought my battery would be dead by the time I drove it this morning, but to my surprise it started right up. Also, mine stopped keeping track of miles on the odometer, it is stuck at 300 every time I start the vehicle. 🤦🏽‍♂️

I was really hoping that I was just having bad luck, but after reading this thread it seems to be a very common that people are having issues with the cluster and electric. So upset if my brand new truck has to sit at the dealership for months like I've read about here. I've only had it 3 days. Picked it up in Houston and drove 13 hours home with it, with no issues. The odometer and cluster issue started AS SOON AS I GOT HOME! DAMMIT

Dude wtf. Are there any fucking RHOs without a problem? Having two fail is so beyond unacceptable. If RAM doesn’t make it right we need to start being more vocal. Don’t just post on this forum. Post on facebook, make a video and post on YouTube, post it on every fucking social media platform and do what you can to gain visibility. At this point I think it is the only way to get attention. Blast RAM and let everyone see. Like how have some people gotten hush money from RAM. Doesn’t that mean something is up that some people have been paid and signed an NDA? Fuck this truck. Nothing is worth this much hassle, especially when it costs $80k.
I agree if there is so many issues w the RHO everyone needs to blast social media in every aspect and constantly called their Ram dealership. Where was this one purchased? What dealership did you order it ?

I’d reach out to the dealership you expect to service the vehicle at, very likely the cluster needs to be replaced or repaired. From what my service advisor told me when I brought up my green light issue, they would need to remove the cluster and send it back to Ram to get fixed as they have no eta at all on replacement clusters.

This was ordered directly through Ram via employee ordering

Damn. I'm picking up my new one from Mark Dodge on Thursday. Reading about all the problems people are having makes me nervous.

I don't know the exact procedure they followed however it had to do with bleeding the brakes under pressure. My son is a BMW mechanic and he informed me they apply something like 15 psi pressure to the brake reservoir and then use a scan tool to actuate the ABS while bleeding to help flush out all of the air. I am not sure if the exact same thing is applicable to the RAM, but could be. About 2 weeks after my son told me this, my service advisor informed me that they were instructed by the engineer to bleed with pressure.

Mine did the same exact thing. I made a post about it and included video. Mine has been sitting at the dealer now for 3 weeks. They told me they don't know how to proceed in fixing it so they are waiting.

Wow! 3 weeks with no solution? Did they give you a rental?

Mine is going into the shop tomorrow. They told me they were only going to keep it for 24 hours to run diagnostics on it and then I can pick it up. Since it's still running and is drivable. They will order whatever parts are needed and let me know when to take it back. Did yours not run? Curious why they've kept your truck for 3 weeks now if it was still running.

They gave me a loner car while its in the shop. Mine ran but I insisted it stay in the shop just in the battery drained. Also, I didn't want to drive it since it wasn't logging the mileage in the odometer. They opened up a star case and just waiting on parts I believe.

Same here, they have to open up a star case. Unfortunately my dealership has no loaner vehicles, which makes no sense to me. So I can't leave my vehicle with them.

The dealership I'm with called and said they'd replaced all of my batteries and could pick up the truck... Having a few other things done while it's there (build quality stuff) and an oil change. I hope this is the only bump in the road...
