AFE exhaust

It does sound great. I'll be curious on pricing considering it's just a muffler delete with an x-pipe...
They were one of the most affordable options with the TRX version & I'd assume based on how fast they are responding to producing something it is a modified version of the OTS trx version (With an updated front /mid section).

From the under body views, no wonder it's inexpensive - basically looks like straight pipes! I agree that it sounds good - but would be curious to hear 70, 75 and 80 mph vs. just 60-65 in cabin.

Why don't any of these companies film videos with before and after? Without a comparison point it's hard to tell, in my opinion. I don't know my stock decibels by heart.

Sounds fine, but amplifying this trucks exhaust note is like a guy with skinny pipe cleaner arms wearing a tank top. Just because it's more noticable, doesn't mean it's any better lol

Doesn't that X pipe help with drone??

Not typically. What does help with drone are the perforations in the stock axle back pipes which this system eliminates. If it had to guess this exhaust will be less refined than others available. You might as well just go to an exhaust shop and have them cut the muffler off and weld in an X pipe imo.

Thoughts? Sounds pretty good from all angles.
Sounds good but I'd get so many tickets, like the most tickets. I like quieter, for the less attention it draws but the little boy inside me is jumping up and down telling me "THIS IS THE WAY, THIS IS THE WAY". I really hate that kid....

Wow...finally something that is music to my ears! They nailed it! I assume this removes the stupid mechanical exhaust valves???

Glad to hear everyone’s loving the sound of our newest exhaust! We recently picked up a RAM RHO and are excited about the parts we’re developing for it. I work at aFe POWER, so feel free to ask any questions—I’m happy to help!

Here's more information on our RAM RHO Cat-Back Exhaust System: https://bit.ly/41pFeyx
Our exhausts are proudly designed and manufactured in-house in Corona, CA. Because of this, sometimes exhausts are built to order, and lead times can vary. We appreciate your patience as we craft a high-quality system that’s worth the wait!

We edited the original text because we meant there was no electronic valves but there are indeed mechanical valves that we eliminated because we wanted an open exhaust and less moving parts.

In regards to the valves, our Exhaust Engineer John notes: "I think it’s a misconception that the RHO has exhaust valves. RAM is not using exhaust valves in the RHO. We do not have valves in our system either."
Wait what? No mechanical valves in the RHO exhaust?? But there are mechanical valves from what we’ve seen and I’m pretty sure the RAM engineers have stated on camera there does exist exhaust valves and open under WOT. @testerdahl @Ctech-Review

There is 100% valves, they may be using different wording, maybe they think of valves as electric/pneumatically operated as some other manufacturers do, these are better described as flaps with springs. Ill try and take a picture later tonight.

Yea that’s a better description, thank you for clarifying.

Ok so @AFE_POWER_RAM does this align with your understanding as well and I assume by installing your exhaust kit, would remove these functions completely, just wanted to confirm. I would assume so since I visually cannot see them on your pipes and it's much louder (which I prefer). I'm not a fan of the exhaust flaps.

Passive valves are on both exhaust pipes coming into the muffler on OEM system (spring operated under backpressure changes they open and close!

Yes, we meant there are no electronic valves, but indeed there were mechanical valves which we deleted because we wanted an open exhaust with less moving parts.
