Anyone go with an aftermarket spray in bedliner? Who did you go with and why? I want to make sure my tailgate won’t have any issues opening and closing with the actuator, did you mention that to them?

I ordered it without it, was an obvious oversight but unfortunately too late as I already have the truck.😞
Sorry brother. Unfortunately I don’t have any insight. :(

Chris

I used Toff on my Daughter's Laramie. It looks and has performed great. Dealership were I get my trucks serviced also sends all their trucks there.

Line-x is typically a great option if not doing factory. Our dealership does them in house and they are the same quality, but that's just 1 location in rural iowa

I sent in for a quote from them and inyati so far we’ll see who makes the most sense

Project farm did comparison that I found useful. If I had to do it, likely do it myself for savings. I can't recall but I think factory liner came with some extras too like onboard power, tie downs or something. For convenience, I did factory as well and today I loaded it up with lumber and building supplies. I'm not gentle and it took it like a champ.

I would go Line-X. I have a licensed Line-X dealer by me. I bought my tonneau cover from them. Lifetime warranty on both.

I did! I did not order the factory liner either. I went to local vendor and they sprayed in bedliner only cost me $500 and comes with lifetime warranty. I have the auto closing tailgate and have had no issues with it. I also really like how they sprayed around the lights and everything. I would definitely do this again. Here are a few pictures for you.

Looks great!

I much prefer LineX Ben liners to factory bed liners but to me, opting out of the bedutility group that comes with the bed outlet was a non starter, unfortunately

The bed group is honestly a bargain and should not be skipped but if you did like me it’s good to have options 😂

The kit works well but you'll want a better gun or learn to get really fast at cleaning out gun. The grit of spray builds up and if you don't clear it will muck your results something fierce. For the inconvenience and challenge of spraying something at 90 degrees while in it, I'd look into the roll on applications. Same strength but finish is a bit smoother and super easy application.

The decked systems are super nice, but you do get more than a little dead space and it raises the bed enough that probably not for dog people and cargo above will require straps (most everything can and does reach rear window with height change). YMMV

Thanks for good advice.

I was going to get the better gun as I want to do more crafty things. Like my welding cart, welded table legs, etc

And for the decked system -- for sure everything needs strapped down. Was also going to get a couple of telescoping bed dividers, maybe just leave one close to back window. A buddy of mine broke his back window -- cost him several $1000 to fix everything

The back glass is a big problem. When I'm not sure I'd their new offerings incorporate protection there or not but their first generations did not.

I had forgotten to mention that you'll need a GIANT compressor to spray liner. It's least like HVLP and more like spraying mud. Turbine systems won't work either because of the heat. Lastly, you'll want to make sure you have a legit moisture separation system in place because any moisture during application would be a nightmare. There's probably more but those were issues I came across. (Been a couple years)

FYI for anyone looking to do the same inyati quoted me $500+tax or $599+tax with UV protection. LineX was $549+tax or $649+tax with UV protection. I’m leaning towards the LineX system.
