Quick question for the group, does anybody have an option to auto lock the doors? In the Uconnect, there is an option to unlock the doors but no option to auto lock the doors. I do have auto lock on exit checked, but it does not work.
Does anybody have an option to auto lock the doors?

Copied from another post that had this issue.

Did you scroll on the settings screen? It is under doors and locks

When the Doors & Locks button is pressed on the touchscreen, the system displays the options related to locking and unlocking the vehicle’s doors.
NOTE:
Depending on the vehicle’s options, feature settings may vary.

I double checked. The only option there is to Auto Unlock.

Yup, all my other Ram had them, very odd

It looks like you don’t have the option in your menu either.

Can someone here take a pic with the auto lock showing in the menu.
Im so weirded out by this... Google says they do... LOL

I took my truck to the dealer and had them program the truck for auto lock. Works great.

If thats the case then Ill have to plug in Witech and see I can do the same. Still makes no sense its not an option in the settings screen

I think there might be two separate entities here: 1)automatically locking with reaching a certain speed, and 2) auto locking when exiting the vehicle and walking away.

I believe the first is standard, and non negotiable.

Looks like the second one is programmable

Auto lock at certain speed does not function on mine. If its a safety item with out option in settings menu then found the first issue with my truck. LOL...

I’ll check mine and report back.
Every car I’ve had in the past 20 years has auto locked at about 15mph. I just don’t even notice it anymore. I’ll pay attention now

Agreed!!! This is my 10th Ram, Jeep, or Dodge in the last 12 or so years and everyone of them has had the auto lock function or option on them. More annoying than anything on the newer vehicles is the auto park function. Cool, let someone try and car jack me and put it in park for them if they can open the door so I cant drive away... LOL...

What is the auto park function? I haven’t discovered that one

Just to clarify, mine now auto lock when hitting 15 mph. The dealer programmed it. They also said they were told it was disabled for safety reasons. 🤷‍♂️

Mine 100% auto locks the door from factory since I have to unlock it every morning for my daughter to get out of the backseat at the neighbors. The manual states it is an option to turn off or on but it is definitely not under settings

I don't have my truck yet  but have been reviewing the manual. So in the UConnect system the following option doesn't exist???
