Hi, I am working up an RHO build, and have a question as to whether the Bed Utility Group is worth 945 dollars.
Does it include the AC hook up, or is that only for other Rams that have the RamBox?
For those that have it, what is the quality of the spray in bedliner?
Also, does it include LED bed lights anywhere?
Any input, for or against, is greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Mark

I opted for it. RAM does a nice job with the coverage of their bedliner in my opinion. You do get LED bed lights and AC power.

In rho bed lights included even if you don't get bed utility. If you do get bed utility you will get outlet in bed, rails and step to help climb into bed. Definitely worth it. I only had one ram truck without bed utility because I never ordered it and was regretting purchase a lot.

Wow, fast responses and all a thumbs up, thank you!

Absolutely worth it. They do a great job, plus the step, the 110 outlet etc.

Wasn’t even a thought for me, wouldn’t have a truck without it, and like was stated, with what you get it’s actually a good value.

Best $945 you can spend on the truck.

Since you asked for the quality of the bed liner.. I had RAM bed liner on my 2020 1500 and this this thing was super durable.

worth it glad I did. Figure a spray in is $600 minimum, you get the step under bumper $200+ range, you get the 120volt outlet in bed, and then the racking system in bed...no brainer to me as I will use all of those options!

I'm not a young man these days, but it seems like you need to be a former gymnast to get in the bed of this truck without the step! These beds are not exactly low to the ground!

Did your bed utility group not come with all the accessories ?

They list it as
4 adjustable cargo tie-down hooks
Deployable bed-step
Spray-in bedliner
Exterior 115V AC outlet

If it's like the other 1500's, it should have these rails, which are about 400 MSRP

*Based on my Rebel and the L2 group calling out Animated Front/Rear Headlights (aka LED), which it doesn't have... i take any listing of what they say it will come with a grain of salt

The RHO does have “animated” head and tail lights. It looks neat the first couple of times or so , then meh 😊

It's worth it just for the spray in bed liner in my opinion. That's a $750-$1000 add-on if done aftermarket

It is definitely worth it. I accidentally missed it on my build and I'm paying the piper to get 75% of the stuff added at the dealer (something like $1500).

FYI…”Animated” is not just LED. They can change colors & do a smoother sweep when, well, animated.

They are also stupid expensive to replace if damaged. I haven’t priced the RHO headlights or taillights, but on some GM products, a single “animated” taillight can cost close to $5K (GMC Hummer).

Funny, but on an Chevy HD 2500, they give you a $50 credit to get standard LED taillights vs animated. The cost difference on those parts is over $1K, but they figure the owner will smash a tail lamp or two during the life of the truck. Skipping the animated option will keep them from “blowing a lid” when they get the bill .

What are the tie down points in the bed like without the package? I'm spec'ing out a truck right now and had omitted the package, but this has me second guessing my decision

Put the bed liner through a workout last weekend getting rid of a whole bunch of trash (scrap metal, wood with nails, old chain link, etc.)

The bed liner cleaned up with a leaf blower and a garden hose. Looked brand new. Worth every penny...

You can add them after the fact. The only thing from the bed group you can't add is the outlet (I think). I regretted not picking it too.
