Blind spot monitoring needs service, remote start disabled, rough stall if I disable auto-stop while it's in a stopped state at a light.

Update: Aux battery had failed, they swapped the batterys and issues went away
----------------

At 90 miles, the Blind spot monitoring hit me with the system needs serviced.
It went away, and then came back about 20 miles later. I disabled blind spot in the settings so I dont have to stair at the yellow indicators until I can get it in to get checked out.

Had the truck at the tint shop for a few hours, picked it up, and now more weird stuff. (The windshield was not tinted so nothing was running down into the electronics)

Remote start will start the truck, and then turn itself off with a Remote Start Disabled message on the dash.
And to make things really interesting, after pulling up to a light and auto stop stopping the truck, I pressed the disable auto start/stop button and the truck shook, stopped, lit up light a christmas tree in the dash, and then threw check engine light.

Since I have IGLA installed, this was a real bitch at the traffic light as I had to turn it off, open the door, start, enter the pin, then shift out of park, which takes time. That check engine light cleared after a few stop/starts.

Then it happened again later in the day, this time I have the IGLA fob with me so I can recover rapidly. Now the check engine light is on and will not clear.

Gauge shows battery at 14.3v, I initially thought maybe it just didn't like having the doors open (and thus some lighting on) for hours while being tinted.

These electrical gremlins make me so frustrated, I love the truck, but they need to fire the entire QA team at RAM.

I'll hook up the code reader to get the codes, and get an appointment setup to take it in for service.

Did get an email on the bind spot monitoring error, but the mopar dashboard just says it can't read the truck now

I wonder if the Aux battery is the issue, Based on google results, which is certainly a YMMV

What happens if the auxiliary battery dies?

If you have a faulty auxiliary battery, your car's electrical components and safety features will stop working. This includes; Entertainment system, GPS, audio system, PDC sensors, Blind Spot Assist, and Lane Keeping Assist. The worst is that the car may fail to start or stop

First thing come to my mind after reading. I know you said volts at 14.3 but I would still try to check aux battery voltage with the volt meter.

My batteries were bad and left me stranding at a parking lot 2 hours after I picked up my rho at the dealer. Right before it died had bunch of christmas light show going off. Next day dealer replaced both batteries and haven't had any electrical issues since.

I opted to drop it off at the dealer to check the battery's and issues. I'll update this when they tell me what they found. Blind spot started working again on the drive over, CEL still on.

It’s probably a blown fuse. Same issue happened with my truck regarding the auto start/stop and the dealership found the fuse and replaced it which resolved the issue. Still have same problem with the blind spot monitoring too but they say it’s a software issue, opted to order a new truck.

I had multiple check engine lights that have been recently fixed. Not once did my app or email ever tell me the CEL was on.

What kind of truck did you order? Is the defective one going to be re-purchased by Ram?

Yeah RAM is taking the defective one back. I basically ordered the same truck again: Level 1, Panoramic Sunroof, Granite Crystal, Red Interior Accents, bed utility group, Beadlock Capable Wheels

How many times have you had this issue? how many times in shop? time frame? First I've heard of a buy back..... granted I've been off this forum for a month or 2..... but playing catch up now.

I might end up in the same boat...did you have any additions done(tint PPF etc)? Im waiting to hear from the area rep but wont take a buy back unless they reimburse us for what we have done that cant be removed...ppf, tint, road hazzard etc

CEL is due to Start/Stop relay, a module the tech noted as concerning
Since there's a CEL, remote start gets disabled by design

He removed the Power Distrubution Center (PDC) and load tested the wires
He's now testing the batterys

Three times I had this issue. Truck was in the shop 9 days for the first problem, 11 days for the next problem and 7 days for the most recent issue. I only had the truck for about 2 days during the month of February.

I'd be beyond pissed off at that point and likely drive a Yugo.

This is very interesting. My CEL came on yesterday at 2300 miles. I'm in Ohio, and it's been pretty cold since I got the RHO in December. Since I've had the heat on since I got it, I haven't had to disable the Auto Start/Stop very much (generally won't turn off when stopped when using a lot of heat or AC). Well, the weather turned warmer over the weekend, and on my daily commute yesterday I was stopped at a light and the Auto Stop/start turned the truck off. I thought "oh yeah, now I'm going to have to remember to disable this now that it's warmer". So, I disabled it at the light. Truck obviously started back up, light turned green, and shortly after I turned through the intersection, the CEL came on.
So, maybe has something to do with the start/stop relay, and there's no rough idling or any other symptoms that I can see.
I may disconnect the batteries tonight and see if the CEL reappears when I start it back up.

Is there any fix for the CEL caused by the start/stop relay?

You have a connection at Ram...... surprised they offered this that quickly. I'm on my 6th visit to dealer and several more days they they are offering "compensation" not a buy back at this point. PM if you'd rather discuss that way.

Mine went in mid February for the auto stop/start not restarting at a green light. Dealer returned the truck after charging both batteries. Got two miles away from the dealership and the truck died again at a green light. Took it back again 20 Feb and they replaced both batteries, the battery switch between the main and aux with no fix. They have now ordered both Power Distribution Centers (PDC) but one is back ordered. Got assigned a case manager from Ram cares not who supposedly will help expedite parts so we’ll see. Contacted lemon law attorney yesterday.
