What should I expect to pay ballpark on ceramic coating and tint? I am in Austin and there are tons of installers but not sure who to trust. I believe someone here mentioned Apex. Does anyone have recommendations on installer and price points?

I would ballpark 1200-1500 for a 6-7 yr ceramic coating. There's a lot of prep work that goes into it before applying. If someone tells you that they don't need to polish or prep prior to, run out of that place. For tint, 3m Ceramic IR goes for around 700-900 and that includes all windows, windshield and sunroof.

That’s for the detailed reply. I am seeing some 5 year ceramic for 1500 but will keep looking.

I'm getting a 5-7 yr coating for $1000, BUT the place I'm going is also the hand wash car wash we go to. We've spent enough $$$ over the years the owner knows us by name and takes good care of us. It would normally be $1200 to $1500.

They did a fantastic job on my wife's Expedition, so I'm sure they will treat my RHO well.

Loyalty and good service pays for itself.

posted some info previously on the Ceramic (sorry no details on tint here) .... from the places I shopped, the price differences between ceramic options seemed to be less about the year/length of coverage ... and more about base paint, vs adding windows and trim. (base paint coverage ~$900-$1000 and add $300-$500 for trim and glass).
